This looks so good from the front. I'm not fussed about backpacks and fake parts but do find it funny how much the facade falls apart when you look at it from the top or back though. Supremely clever how they've done the feet too.
I really love this mold, the packaging and colors. I just don't have the room for doubles, but your videos make me want to buy another one. I was thinking that the Youth version meant that it looks like the toys I got as a 9 year old youth.
Perhaps the "Youth" name version alludes to its paint apps being based off the OG toy. Which of course, was sold to children. Also, no comment on the Kenworth logo on his grill? Lol
It’s a neat looking variant of that figure. I have a weird soft spot for more G1 toy based MP figures. The only thing that I think is missing on it is either chrome or much shinier silver paint, to make the toy look more spot on.
Motormaster would hate this, but he’s so pretty here. I wish MPs (official or otherwise) would integrate toy designs more as I find them much more interesting than the slavish cartoon depictions. I love the Skids release so much because it’s a throwback to the early car MP days that had some toy details and didn’t need as many extra parts to pull off a cartoon look, which really jacked up the prices.
man that looks stunning, transformation looks like a struggle but i really appreciate the way they achieved the faux cab feet, I agree with the idea to do the combiner stuff in the cab as well, lets motormaster stand on his own less hindered imo also can't help but drop a hey-ho!
It may just be confirmation bias, as I went in on the FT offering, but that Gravestone ab crunch on a single pinned section of plastic scared me away from any possibility of getting an XTB set, even if a toy deco would be nice. Can anyone speak to the durability of that joint? Would it be considered at all scary for someone who would flip and repose their figures every few months?
I think that’s actually a very valid opinion and noticed that as well. Considering X transbots Locke has the same looking an crunch along with the same plastic look and to date I’ve never transformed Locke due to fear of the figure breaking. I would rather enjoy to hear form someone who has the figure and what they think regarding the quality of plastic used for that joint. Cheers. Good vid!

I love that explanation!

super interested to see how this set turns out in combined mode. But Hey Ho, another great video
I’ll do a separate vid on that as it requires the trailer section.

Do you have the full youth set at this point? Would love to see what the youth Menasor looks like!
Only here for the, “Hey Ho’s”
Hope you’re not too disappointed…. Hey ho!
The reason their are called youth version could be due to the fact that they look like their G1 toy counterparts ~ I believe.
I really want to see you do the moon studio train boys
It does the truck bed leg thing better than any Optimus Prime toy
Is there where I do the “hey ho’s”?
130 dollars nonetheless.

It’s a weird joint for sure although it hasn’t as yet been an issue for me on either copy.

Yes, I realize that I'm 2 years late to the party, but I always thought the "youth" variant meant Legends Class!!! lmaooo
Where are the Hey-Ho’s? I didnt hear any. Im dissapointed. Ha!
The version from your Youth? (If you’re as old as me)
gravestone would be a autobot that is a guardian of the autobot catacombs and the brother plus rival of motormaster
Heyy
today i bought this one
9:42 X-Transbots definition of an abcrunch is utterly indisabled. I think some ukrainian came up with that.
