When my brother played this game I thought this theme was boring and dull, but now that I hear it without any annoying sounds, this became one of my favorite themes in the whole megaman saga

And the Mets in the middle of the crusher sections, I DON'T CARE HOW CUTE YOU ARE, YOU GOOMBA/KOOPA TROOPA HYBRIDS WITH HITBOXES THE SIZE OF A GODDAMN PEBBLE BETTER MOVE!!! That one Reploid near the Nightmare Virus in the second half of the stage in Xtreme mode...Fuck trying to rescue that one because of the virus taking full advantage of the crusher. But it also has a part. GREAT.
... the whole game uses "fake" difficulty by letting a swarm of enemies corner you and letting a lot of Traps to try and kill you not to mention the nightmare mechanic fucking things up even more, you know the game's balance is fucked up when most experienced players uses Ultimate armor X/Black zero Cheat code so they can complete stages without having to worry about some cheap hits because there's too many enemies on the screen. let's not even talk about blaze's heatnix stage. what a cheap one that was!

He’s resurrecting Mavericks, aka Reploids that are deemed to have become significant threats to people... so it’s basically like if someone was going around and reviving dangerous criminals that were sentenced to death for their crimes.
Translation error : L and R sounds the same in Japanese, so he's most likely named "Metal Shark Prayer", because he revives dead Mavericks... maybe thanks to chants? I don't know, that's how I think it works lol
this makes a whole lot sense now, since he summons dead versions of previous bosses from past megaman x games. well what could we expect when capcom had a translator that had to shit on the mavericks's US names just for the sake to make her husband happy....

It's likely the most industrial track of MMX, and has 80's instrumentation, such as heavy usage of synth, it also gives strong Star Trek vibes

As we see in games as early as X3, not all Mavericks are like that. Some of them are manipulated or infected.
