I changed mine before but Facebook changed it back. I know it was changed because I have a record of messaging people my Facebook URL and it was the way I had set it. Anyhow, this is now Mar 2023, and though the settings are in a different place, you still follow the actual steps that you said, and it worked the same way. Thanks for this. 🙂
I just created a business account and it won't allow me to do edits on the desktops version and only the mobile app version and I don't see any options on the mobile app version. Please help!
For a BUSINESS account: Click on Business photo in the menu Settings & privacy Settings Page setup Click on "View" beside the name option Edit username
I did it on my iphone but thru “chrome”. I opened my facebook acc on the google chrome then reset the setting into “desktop version” which can be done thru clicking the three dots on the bottom right of the chrome, when you changed it into desktop version, make it sure to zoom out the screen to be able to see the wider screen (as it becomes desktop version)

Google search is showing a Facebook account link to someone who has the same name as mine. Opened, it shows her page, that's all good BUT if you click the back button on her page it opens my page which should all be private. It's opened to anyone to come in and even change my settings. FB not helping numbers leading to possibly more scammers 😏. I've found this video and I've gone in to see if changing my url would help ,. This POSSIBLE cliche. 🤞...if not any advice?

It does work! Under general page settings it is labeled “username”. This is where you can change it!

And no setting it to desktop version does not help. Facebook gives an alert that it must be managed by the mobile app only

I think.. android phone only.. because i tried in google using my iphone it didn’t work.. there’s no general settings

That's because you're logged in and the cookies and the session register it as you. This would not happen on another end.

PLease make a new one for 2023 because they changed the locations of all these settings. Most people wont find this video to work in 2023
