Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is a research communication competition developed by The University of Queensland. Research higher degree (PhD and MPhil) students have three minutes to present a compelling oration on their thesis topic and its significance. You only have one static slide and are not allowed to use any property during the speech.
Imagine a PhD student has 100,000 words of thesis and they have to explain their work only in 3 minutes to a non-specialist audience.
