I found a black Reissue about 7 mos ago while thrifting at my local shop. It wasn’t on display and for some chance I asked the cashier to look at bags that were somehow not on display. When I saw the Chanel, the hardware, the lithogram inside, I knew it was a vintage but authentic right away from the feel and look. I got mine for $20.

I am 60, a very young 60, and sewing is a passion, I have recently started making purses and bags, and honestly, I have made a couple, so much nicer than the “name brands”, the time and expense, I have put in, to have someone say that it’s expensive, if I ask 120.00 is so offensive, to know that someone would rather pay outrageous prices, for a purse, likely made in China, because it has a “name on it” is really hurtful. To each his own, but I don’t understand what it is about, so called name brands?? How in anyway does it make any difference? I am, and always have been a thrifter, not being able to afford, much more, especially when raising my kids. My Mother said to me once, how my kids always look so nice, I either made them their clothes or, spent hours on bag day picking through, to dress them. I love your videos, and subscribed months ago, but really it was because of your spirit, and creative way to make some money, honestly working. What is the draw to name brand??

Everyone is different in what they like and what they choose to purchase. High end or handmade, it all depends on individual taste. None is better than the other. My mother was an amazing seamstress/crafter. She once told me..."Kim, you can not charge for your time when it comes to handmade items. They will never sell" Meaning it is very time consuming. One thing I can say for sure... she is 100% correct. That also comes along with not letting people hurt your feelings on offers for your items.
