Thanks bro I watched your videos multiple times each and I learned many things of them. Perfect diagnosis for data recovery all the time. Well done. My name is Hossein from Iran.
Hey Aaron, I've never done iphone motherboard level repairs before, working on one atm. It's an iphone 12 mini, no power. I checked the battery plug pins on the board, and they have continuity 😮 So then I connected my benchtop psu at 4V, to see how much amperage it would draw, it started sparking and melting the plastic connector, and was drawing 7A. How come when you did it on the iphone 12 mini it only drew 1A? What does this indicate? Did I do something wrong? Cheers mate 🙂
I have seen your videos that you remove shorted capacitor and then it works, but what was the use of that part at first place ? I wish I can get my iPhone 13 pro max repaired from you
Have you check with another screen first? If not check in Diode mode on the screen connector (best to get a software such as ZXW same as what Aaron is using here to help assist and track where the issue could be coming from. Will give you known good diode mode values for the phone you are working on as well) Hope it helps 👍
@@Bvetube101 yes sorry I didn’t mention before, tested with known good screen, I have just got hold of another iCloud lock board, so I’ll compare the fpc measurements ..thanks for your reply
@@Bvetube101 yep I checked the lcd on other device and it works perfectly, I just found a partial short on the 1st pin the the lcd connection which should be around 1.2v it’s a shame no nets on zxw, but thanks again.. 👍
This type of failure is the result of the phone being severely smashed or run over with a car. Apple themselves are not the ones who manufacture the motherboard. That is done by companies like Foxconn who work with all types of different brands.
@@iBoardRepair i have iphone 14 blacked out after just 14 months without any damage or water went to store said need motherboard repair asked for $750 for repair. I had all my data in it. Its just its a crap company will buy a 200$ used phone and a hardisk to save my data from now on. Enought of this expensive and shit companies

Most of the time it is a voltage smoothing cap.
