Ngl yeah I loved when these guys were heavy but ,I've always loved Matty's clean voice just as much as his screams, so I'm totally down for this album I'm still impressed with this album
I will forever fucking love you guys! Matty, your voice always sounds great! Your sung parts are so clear and heavy at the same time. Your shouts are always fittin' to the style. Thank God, you're their singer! Guitar and Bass: always on point, whether it's Metalcore or Rock or Acoustic, whether it's heavy or soft. Riffs or chords. Never disapointed me! Jake, your drums are just frickin' fittin' to the songs, you're doing great as drummer, thank you for being part of Memphis! Just wanted to give you a little love, because everyone's hating you guys. But you are great! Keep rockin' #loveformmf
Honestly as upset as I am with the last few CDs......its a testament to how fuckin insane the hollow and challenger were that to this day you still have people like me who havent liked a single song for years still comming back and listening to every song hoping to hear something similar and to bring us back to the time when we heard those albums. It's just not gonna happen tho. MMF is just a completely diffrent band now. Something happen I dont know what but its never gonna be the same. I wish them all the success in the world. But I just hope one day they go back to the roots and just melt our faces off one CD.
They also lost a guitarist. So maybe he made a big difference in writing. But you could make the same argumwent with north atlantic album. Id say they completely changed their sound, even more then what they did for broken. But hey. You eitherike it or you dont. Shit changes but challenger and unconditional were top notch writing.
John Tatterfield Anthony Sepe never wrote for Memphis. He joined as a live member right before Challenger dropped, and the only song he had any involvement in writing was Stay The Course. Kellen McGregor is the only founding member left, and has written every song since the initial EP.
None of these songs are "catchy" nothing feels like it hits it just kinda happens. Like it isnt bad at all. Its good "background" music. Just nothing that i would jam in my car.
Eyy a little heavier than the other 5 songs. Kinda nice. This whole album is giving me a vibe of some type of acceptance? Idk .-. Just the vibe. Sell my soul is next :)
I'm actually a new listener, I really enjoy these new Memphis May Fire songs. Metal was always a little bit too much for me. This feels quite better for me than their previous songs I checked. I'm still sorry for metal listeners who are disappointed in this, however I don't think you should hate the band. I understand you expected something else but all artists eventually develop something new and change their style. Rude comments are just not motivating so please avoid them. Respect the band :)
@@BulletProofBacon I mean, they are artists, not machines. You can't expect them to make something they don't feel like anymore. I understand your frustration tho. Stay strong
Sounds better to you, but we aren't pissed that they aren't heavy anymore. Actually a lot of people in this community agree as to why they suck ass now and we have no issues with bands changing/becoming less heavy. JasonLoves ABR, Nik nocturnal etc and more you will see on a lot of post-hardcore/metalcore bands. And we have no issue with the new like moths to flames, bmth, etc. If you go softer, that's fine. When you go soft and less technical on instruments, lyrics & everything just to become some generic butt rock band for radio music. Then we shit on you.
Yes I will always like Memphis my top five bands was tdwp, mmf, demon Hunter, oh sleeper and impending doom well now mmf is not on that list but I will buy this cd and look forward to their next album snd I feel like I listening to Papa Roach or Red
This is going to be a bit of a backhanded compliment, but I always checked out but was never into Memphis May Fire stuff. Like the sound, just thought the songs were weak. And yet, here you come in 2018 and this whole album is excellent! Like everything clicked and you made some truly great, personal songs. I'm a big fan of this new stuff. Told you it was a backhanded compliment. But in it's brutal honesty, the main point is you won over someone new, for what it's worth.
This song is drastically better than the others I’ve listened to, so I know they still got some jams in them. You just have to sort through all of the trash to find them. Lolol
Memphis, I love you guys amazing people blessed to have met you, but as a long time fan, I do truly miss the mmf sound, it's evolved through your albums but this album feels different but not necessarily in a good way. Lyrics are more generic instead of situationally personal and the sound just feels dumbed down a bit to where it doesn't make me wanna hear the rest of the album. Love you guys and appreciate your work, just wanted to leave feedback
EXACTLY!!! I absolutely loved them, even called them one of my favorites. I drove far to see them play. One of the best show ever. They were real, the crowd was on the same level. Out of the 100's of shows I've been to, it was probably one of the best!!! Sad to say, I don't think I would attend now, even if it was local. Bc I KNOW I would be disappointed. But whatever, if this is the route they want to take🤷 I guess for every fan lost, another one gained, hopefully
Very wrong.. this is maybe MMF's most personal album, with the most personal lyrics. It's about Matty's struggle with anxiety and deteriorated mental health, and he's sharing the message that we're not alone in this album. Love MMF then and now :)
Not a bad track, still not my favorite album. I'll probably always be a loyal fan, but I'm just not as satisfied with the new music. Still hope MMF do well on their musical journey and come off this odd slump with better tracks. Just... maybe listen to your fans because most of us are telling you it is not working
@Jackson Berrie I've already expressed my thoughts on nearly every song and it's the same answer to them all. Has nothing to do with heaviness either. I like a lot hard rock but this just doesn't cut it for me.
It's not a horrible new album but it isn't amazing either I can see where the irritation is coming from with fans I recently listened to their older stuff and I am noticing a change that sounds a bit like the new bullet for my valentine album. It has direction and talent behind it but misses the mark and hype the fans expect.
@@yanksandrushfan I know, they had a more rock n roll vibe to theirs. This is more of a poppy kind of rock. I have listened to 7 songs on this album and cant rock with any of them.
Yeah, at least AA ended up bringing on new fans. Dunno what kind of audience this will gather. Even Parkway Drive won fans on their terrible new album.
I think most of these metal bands go soft because after year's of screaming it takes a toll on your vocals. Throat cancer is extremely common with metal singer's. But then again some just sale out for the all mighty dollar!
The Hollow and Challenger are definitely their best albums, Unconditional is not TOO far behind, But it seems like they have become more generic and lost the passion. their lyrics have gone from heart wrenching specifics to more universally relatable vagaries. not sure what to blame it on. i feel nothing listening to their last 2 albums. its not bad music or poorly made, its just missing the uniqueness and emotion of their past :(
Only good song on the album. Everything else is bland and all sounds the same. Maybe I like this one because it kinda has a breakdown and I can hear some guitar work going on.
"Memphis is so trash now. I am a metal head and changes are completely fucked up, they are sellout because they changed and I'll enforce my hate if I must." Just completed your comment, you are welcome.
Probably the best song on the album.

These are the kind of songs for sing along in their concert. ....any love MMF
Maybe she loves who you are? Do you love who she is? Is that the question? You be you. She is who she is. Be yourself.
I want an acoustic version of this song
same! that would be sick
This song has a Breathe Of Carolina feel to it.
from now its my favourite song. LIKE from Ukraine
Love this
