I grew up in a family that owned a Chevrolet dealership.
My mom always asked the fast and cool cars, and at the time Corvettes came only in manuals (until 68), and plus, we had a growing family and the two seater wouldn't have worked.
She ended up with an R/S Camaro for a few years in various colors. My favorite was the orange.
Since we started to travel (heading northern Michigan), mom ended up with Caprice Station Wagon with a 402. Man, that wagon would scream until she got a ticket.

That's a classic. A high school friend of mine had a '67 Camaro convertible. It had a 327 too.

Those are sweet cars. A 67 RS/SS is my dream car. If the 69 had the wing-windows that year would be my dream car. lol. I love the wing windows. That headlight switch most likely just needs to be tightened up a bit so that the grounding works properly. Nice car.

My dad promised me a car for HS graduation. So I headed for a 72 RS Camaro. 350? Salesman said "Ahhh you don't want a Camaro" "GM's ready to pull the plug as they don't sell well" That was in 72..

Power glide with 327 4 bbl on my 68 Impala went 60 in first and 110 in second but it never failed.
The TH 350 in my 77 Monte Carlo had to be rebuilt every 40k which was the factory scheduled oil change for the tranny.
Both cars were rusted out within four years even with Ziebart undercoating.
These were Texas cars so no salt on roads but still awful quick to rust. I switched to Honda and Ford products and problem solved.
I don’t know how you find these fifty to sixty year old rust free GM cars with drive trains still going strong. Most all of my friends back in the day drove them and disposed of them within five years. They got junk metal prices ($400) at trade in.

It's "worth" whatever someone is willing to pay for it🤷♂️ If it sits too long it'll see a price drop, that's how free enterprise and the used car selling biz works. These are "asking" prices after all...how good of a haggler are ya?🤙

‘67’s came with electric doors. Why GM changed to vacuum we’ll never know.
@@johnstonis7977 according to what I read is they had electric in early years but changed them due to the vacuum units due to too many recalls on faulty electrical problems with the ones they were using.
