I love the temporary fastrack changes, they're hilarious 😂. In 2006/7 about 28 amazing B7RLEs were on the A & B, in the 2012/13 period the A's frequency fell from every 5 to 10 mins. In 2015, 20 Streetlites were ordered to replace the Volvos (Huge downgrade but least they had broken charging ports). In 2019 14 E200 MMCs were taken from Gillingham for the B but they were standard Arriva buses with a fastrack livery but they were way better than the streetlites at least😂. In 2021, the fastrack AZ route came which was good! Until Amazon and the Council had their way and cut it so that it was just a peak shuttle for Amazon workers. In 2022, Galley Hill Road collapsed and the 480 & the B had to be diverted, which meant (to this day) that the fastrack B is now the longest way to get to Gravesend from Dartford (despite the name 'fastrack') and it's every 15 mins instead of every 12 mins. This year the C2 (now Fastrack E) got created to create a long awaited link between Ebbsfleet and err.. life😂 which is good. But after this downgrade with (some) ropey ex London buses, I find it hilarious how far downhill it's all gone and how much shit the politicians were talking about Fastrack in 2005 and 6😂😂
As a regular Fastrack commuter I have found the reliability of the service has improved since Go Ahead took over. The introduction of so called "ropey ex London buses" doesn't bother me at all.
It was, but those buses stayed with Arriva when Go-Ahead took over the Fastrack routes. Irizar electrics are being delivered but the charging infrastructure won't be ready for them until next year and, due to similar reasons, the originally planned temporary fleet of Citaros from London routes 108 and 358 was unable to be cascaded in time. So for now Fastrack has mostly Enviro200s, with some MMCs, a couple of B7RLEs and a few ex-Luton Airport Citaros.
nice vid mate keep up the good work
Thanks!
