Aweh I'm also a naturally slower person, I don't grasp things quickly like others do and I felt ashamed at myself for it. However you're completely right, I shouldn't stress myself out to do things super fast and it's not like I'm hurting or hindering anyone in the process either. As long as I'm content with myself, it's okay to be slower & allow myself to enjoy the process :)
Having grown up in East Asia, I feel you in being yelled at all the time when I’m not fast or efficient enough. I lived a life like that until last month, when I finally finished the very last exam in my life (hopefully). Now I let myself slow down, being happy with me sitting there the whole day on my phone or looking out of the window for several hours. I stop blaming myself for not taking my time in good use and I refuse comments from my parents on my lifestyle. Now I feel that I am the happiest person in the world ❤❤❤❤❤❤
