Nice, eventfull play ! Some start up hickups, indepth play causes the emperor to send his legions to take over ? Several invasions not yet multipel directions. Sea invasion CaesarvIV ? Bedoein only for the show, water destribution going crazy, entertainment, bath house, racing way not the rooom for. See what is left for this map, great gameplay !
It is unrealistic haha, it's just so much of the game is now designed around aqueducts not being able to change elevation, changing that would break a lot of maps.
What if the first invasion happened shortly after the Roman legion arrived? Would you have to fight them both or the legionaries would have delt with the enemies first? 😅😂 Another great video, thanks.
I'm playing through Augustus at the moment. Looking forward to doing some of those custom maps after the campaign. It's a breath of fresh air after playing the campaign since we've been kids, don't you think Zakh?
Yeah without Augustus and the new maps I was running out of things to do in the game. After the silly block run especially haha. Now there's a new feature every month to try.
Personally, if I can, I'll sell both raw materials *and* finished goods. The extra income is worth it. Sure, iron isn't worth a damn, but you can make up the difference in bulk.
to be honest: Not as complicated as it seems. Just start very fast to export Pottery and get money, build then Temple of Neptune in the north of the map and build up to 15 or 16 3x3 Villas in this area. started Caesar III a week ago and today this map was easy going!
Isn't it so that 100 favour does not work on timed maps, because when you finish the time it's the end of a year and favor drops by 1, hence the mission is unwinnable? Or was this fixed?
You could win before the time runs out though, no? It’s a timer until losing rather than to when you’re assessed? And the peace rating “timer” has gone half way to the required level already in well under half the number of months you can play.
I can't remember. I thought if you win or not is decided once the timer runs out but I'm not sure anymore. I guess we will find out in the next episode :) @@rainbowevil
@@adfadf32342 There are two kinds of timers. One is a time limit which will make you lose the map if you haven't finished the map by the time time runs out. The other timer works like you described, all the goals has to be achieved by the time when the timer has finished :)
It's possible in Augustus not the vanilla game. I don't know how to do it myself but the devs of Augustus wrote a guide and you can ask them on the discord.
hey zakh i've been looking everywhere in the manual for augustus and online but i can't find it. when you place a prefecture or engineer's post you get that blue line indicating how far their path goes, how do you enable that? also love your vids you got me into playing a bunch of the impressions games after i remembered caesar 3 from childhood xD
Thanks! That's a newer option in the latest Augustus unstable build. They keep adding features to that every week, so it's quite ahead of the current stable build.
At 34:43 theres a cart pusher near the wharves and double warehouses with a big pile of fish heading west..Is he a native?...I thought you had to have Mission Posts established for them to start trading.
No, that is a normal cart pusher. But in Augustus the goods that are dispatched to Caesar are also carried off to Rome visually. So there Zakh dispatched fish which is being delivered to Rome.

The fact that you can't build aqueducts down a hill/cliff is actually infuriating. That's the WHOLE POINT of aqueducts.

My solution was keep some money and after completing all other requirements, favor drops to 99, i sent a gift to Caesar and achieve the goal
Is it possible to create a custom empire state? That is, a customizable empire map and trade routes when you create assigments in the editor

You can defeat it if you have enough soldiers and defences, but I didn't.

Does Zakh have an issue with barbers? Such a quick and easy way to evolve those insulae!
It's not just a barber. Small insula need pottery, medium insula need furniture, and large insula need oil.
