Drone show was cancelled tonight! A good entertainment was to watch this video on the cruise ship 🥲(when the news of cancellation was out, already on the ship)
Really unfortunate that they only put on 3 shows this year and devastating that the last one was cancelled. The organisers should really put on more next year as they are the highlight of the festival.
It was very fascinating to watch. We found it a little eerie, as there was no music with the show. The masses of people were quiet until there was a new image, then you would hear a lot of 'ooohhs'! That was pretty cool! Thanks for watching!
Hi there, we recorded this from the Overseas Passenger Terminal area in Circular Quay. Try to get there before 8pm otherwise the area gets shut off. The drone show starts at 9:10pm. We got there around 7:30pm and were able to be in the second row of people closest to the water.
We saw Vivid Sydney from a grassy area in a park when we first arrived in Australia, but we were too tired to wait for the drones (flew from NZ to Brisbane to Sydney that day). Glad you posted this! The bridge and opera house were amazing!
You're welcome, thanks for watching! This was our first drone show as we missed last year and found it pretty cool (other than the netflix Bridgerton plug). The sad thing for us was that it wasn't on every night. Not surprisingly the crowds were insane as a result.
@@mikeaphotogc I am not paid a fortune to do one. Have a look at other drone shows overseas. Our fireworks are fantastic, this is lame and let's sydney down.
You raise a really interesting point. It is entirely possible that drone shows are the future of fireworks. These can actually turn into dragons like the fireworks in Lord of the Rings!

@@nicholasyu9022 search drone shows on TH-cam and look for yourself and you will probably agree.
Drones should be used only for Vivid, not killing people. No need to waste money on fireworks. Nature will be happier :)
