- Let’s take trip down memory lane! It’s so cool to look back on these and see how far she has come along. Her ability to take our instructions and immediately implement them has been mind blowing. She’s an absolute rockstar learner and retains so much. Once told how to do something, she’s pretty quick to make it happen. The trust she has in Mom and I and the confidence we have in her means this is only the tip of the iceberg for how far she can progress her shred skills.
We get a lot of comments about the Olympics or X Games and to be honest, I have been around that world a lot, it’s amazing but it’s not for every athlete. There are a lot of failures you must overcome to reach that level and it can make or break a human. For little Cash, if she decides to pursue that path, she has all the support from her family but I will make sure she gets the highs and lows advise of some close friends of ours who have forged that path already.
For now, the only goal here is so we can travel to any resort, ride any terrain as a family full of laughs and smiles. Where she goes beyond that only she can decide.

I have sat here for 20 minutes hooting, laughing myself silly, and cheering this angel, till I'm almost hoarse ... ... she is fearless ... already skilled ... and a total joy in life for this old heart. Thanks mom and dad ... y'all go!! One word from an old worry-wart retired cropduster ... .. be very, VERY wary, alert in future months for overconfidence ... she is a prime candidate!! Just incredible spirit and joy .. thanks soo much. Made this old man's day!! For sure. How super fortunate you are to be parenting such a joyful, totally AMAZING kid!!! She is a WINNER!!!
Wow her control for her age is amazing. She makes it look so effortless and the control seems all in the knees. Clearly has a mom and dad that r brilliant skiers themselves and know what they r doing. Would be amazing if she was in the Olympics one day. Clearly has the talent for it!!!!!

I am not a snowboarder, nor a parent. I've been mesmerized by your vids of Cash for a while and I finally figured out why they affect me so deeply . . . as I can get tears in my eyes at times. It is the parenting, yes. The amazing physical skills of Cash, yes. But I figured out that even more it is the life long impact all the positive support and reinforcement you have given her from the get go will continue to have. It 100% informs how she will talk to and regard herself her whole life. This is sadly not the case for many of us, and the harsh, negative parental voices can be crippling and persistent. Of her whole beautiful life, I feel this is the biggest and most beautiful gift of all you both have given her - self love. ♥

That’s the biggest gift of all of this is for her to know she’s loved and she can do anything she puts her heart to. We hope these moments carry her to so many great things but mostly having her own self love is most important.

Most kids don’t start walking before a year old and this girl is hitting the slopes before she is a year old. How amazing is that
It's so helpful to be able to learn in tandem like that! Because even when we understand the mechanics, we can't build muscle memory until we get it right--usually by accident! :-D I remember the first time I managed to get up on water skiis, thinking, "Oh! *That's* what I've been trying to do!!" Once I knew what it was supposed to feel like, I did much better trying to do it on purpose.
Great parenting. You shower her with praise. Which will stand her in good stead as an adult.
It’s already adorable and impressive beyond believe, but the tutu makes the whole thing nearly impossible to watch without my heart exploding.

Parents you obviously board well yourself..but you didn't just give your child the ability to board you have given her the confidence to do and be anything she wants...and in style, I love the tutu and with lights..this was beautiful to watch, what a great job.

I've been snow boarding since it started (snurfer) then 1st board was heavy Sims, I wore old surrel boots , only girl on mnt. Best thing that I ever did and still do.

"Dad!!! Did you see me flying??" :) Cashy has SUCH control over her board, her speed, her turns, and her stopping ability for a 5 year old! Unbelievable!! We'll all remember her name when she's in the Olympics. We can say, "We knew her when". Betting she'll have a move or two named after her one day! VERY impressive!!!
When this beautiful, courageous little little girl is all grown up and mom and dad are gone she will be able to go snowboarding and remember mom and dad teaching her, , her favorite thing to do on that beautiful mountain. She is so blessed to have parents like that.

I love the way dad checks in with her after a fall. Even when she's physically fine, he asks--totally neutrally!--if she wants to try another, or go to mom. His tone makes it clear that either choice really is fine. So respectful of her feelings! This is why I can enjoy this channel--because these parents are sharing their own interests without an agenda. ❤️

WoW, first of all she is a natural! Most kids at one year old would not stay on the board, as all and would probably cry. And at 5 years old she is better than many adults.

I just saw one of the recent videos of her at 6 and she's already better than most of my adult friends who only go snowboarding once a year.

Not only is this a great family and confidence building activity, but young children have better instincts for balance and other physical skills present from birth through about 4-5 yrs. This natural aptitude and intuition provides the ability and resiliency to learn quickly and more safely.
Babies are born with an intact instinct to swim, and my boys started during my maternity leave and were proficient by 8 mos. They were competent at other water sports by 3, and could keep up with adults on water, snow, ice, and land by 4-5. This isn't a brag, it's an encouraging message to strive for same, as the benefits in all areas of life are tremendous, and it creates a bonded family unit (including extended) filled with love, trust, respect, and joyful experiences that will last and serve a lifetime.
Yes I truly wish this kind of caring fun attention, praise, and skill-building for every child. As I watch it, I like to imagine that it was me... as if I were watching an old movie. So different! So beautiful!

First time I went snowboarding, I think I was 22 or 23. fell like over 100 times. Only been a couple times since, but it was still fun. This little girl loves this so much and it’s great to have a snowboarding family to help and cheer her all the way. It’s amazing how steep the mountains got towards the end of the video and how much control she had. She’s gonna be in the Olympics for sure.

It’s magical when your kids feel passionate about the sports their parents love. Inner city kids need these opportunities.
This is just confirmation that whatever a child is born to do. Age 0-5 is the time to help that child get in that pathway. Parents have a huge role. My head was swelling with pride and so many other emotions just watching her go. 👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥
