It's all so beautiful. I definitely understand why influencers need to get a jump on things for the purpose of creating content. Personally though, I don't like to rush. I like to let the seasons and holidays have their moment so I normally wait until about mid Sept and I normally start Xmas the day after Thanksgiving. I love watching this type of content tho. Gives me inspo and gets me excited to start my own decorating.
Tall candlesticks are the way to go for sure. Also I love that you decorate for your kids and their memories and nostalgia. Autumn colors are what make autumn time so wonderful and cozy. You have plenty of time to get into your neutral zone and you’re right do what brings you joy. To each is their own.
I am so fortunate that the trees in my grocery store parking lot drop hundreds of pine cones every year!. So starting now , I always have a nice big handle basket in the trunk! As far as critters,,, I just put them in a lawn bag tied in a knot for a week. I feel the tall tapers balance the size of the florals. Oh my goodness... .. I can only imagine how warm and cozy your home must have smelled. And a rain storm outside ... be still my heart!

It's very beautiful. I like the tall candle sticks. Try sticking large, thick orange, brown, or leather books under white lamp. Not only will it raise your lamp higher, but it will also add more fall color. Can also paint book covers if you don't have those colors. I decorate mid-September.
I have been looking for some new channels with Fall decorating in the style I like. For some reason your channel popped up today. When it opened and I saw your beautiful Fall items on your table, I thought “ This may be it!”. I wasn’t disappointed. I just can’t get into the all natural vibe that goes in to colorless houses…even though it can be beautiful in its own way, I prefer some of the cozy colorful Fall colors! I immediately subscribed and can see this becoming a favorite channel. Excuse me now as I go back into some of your older videos to see what I’ve been missing….
I usually start autumn decorating around the beginning of September. And I'm just like you regarding mugs! I have favourites for each season, and look forward to switching them out when the time comes! I'm a "tea totaller", and love adding pumpkin spice, cinnamon or maple flavours for that extra cozy fall taste! Right now it looks like 2 more weeks of August sweat before things finally start cooling down, but that's all the more reason to start dreaming and planning for autumn while watching your videos! ❤🏮🏺🍁😊

Love the fall pictures i had a drawing done if me and my son when he was little and he found me some leaves right after that so i framed them with the drawing when he was 2 or 3 now he's 21 and has it in his home

As a TH-camr myself i always decorate in august. I honestly did not feel like decorating but after watching one too many falls videos, 🍂 seeing all the fall decor at walmart and then opening my fall tote yesterday and still the strong scent of fall🍁 from last year i knew i should decorate. I got a few things so i will probably start next week before i have to remove them october to start my Christmas decor. No matter how i feel Christmas 🎄 decor is always get done. I've decorated for fall inside. As far as outside, I just need to put my fall flags, a wreath on the door and a couple new mums. I have mums that I keep year round but I purchase a couple every year. Thanks for sharing your video. 😊

I decorate for fall the weekend after Labor Day- I start small by taking down all my summer decor and pretty much leaving everything empty for a day or 2 , the I will add m my front door wreath, changing pillow covers, adding mums to my front entry porch. Then, Oct 1st I add the florals, pumpkins, acorns, more pillow covers and changing my throw blankets to rusts, browns, mustard yellow, add fall scented oils to my diffuser and oil sticks, change out my white napkin holder to a copper one, hand 4 copper mule mugs by the coffee pot/electric kettle, change my kitchen towels to fall ones, change my bath towels and bath rug to browns and rusts. Note about the bath towels: each bedroom has 2 sets of towels to use- after Christmas to October, they are all white, fall- Christmas is browns, rusts, Christmas- March is dark greens and reds. It’s taken me 40 years to curate all this, not in a month for each season, just time and keeping my home neutral for 41+ years to accommodate not just changing styles but tastes, as good quality upholstered pieces and furniture as YOU can afford, neutral wall paint, real wood table/side tables- these all are classic and change with style and trends, then, keeping all the seasonal decor to a minimum amount so I can add something new and fresh every once in a while, and, I don’t put the exact same pieces in the exact same place each year, I mix it up every year, move wall hangings/pictures around, furniture around. The only thing I don’t change is my woven window shades and natural linen curtains that is in every room of my house and I had paint color matched to them and painted all my walls that color this year.
I’m also in Virginia and have been to a place called back home on the farm where they have the best apple cider donuts! Can’t wait to try this recipe 🧡🧡🍂

I've decorated for fall inside. As far as outside, I just need to put my fall flags, a wreath on the door and a couple new mums. I have mums that I keep year round but I purchase a couple every year. Thanks for sharing your video. 😊

I decorate for fall the weekend after Labor Day- I start small by taking down all my summer decor and pretty much leaving everything empty for a day or 2 , the I will add m my front door wreath, changing pillow covers, adding mums to my front entry porch. Then, Oct 1st I add the florals, pumpkins, acorns, more pillow covers and changing my throw blankets to rusts, browns, mustard yellow, add fall scented oils to my diffuser and oil sticks, change out my white napkin holder to a copper one, hand 4 copper mule mugs by the coffee pot/electric kettle, change my kitchen towels to fall ones, change my bath towels and bath rug to browns and rusts. Note about the bath towels: each bedroom has 2 sets of towels to use- after Christmas to October, they are all white, fall- Christmas is browns, rusts, Christmas- March is dark greens and reds. It’s taken me 40 years to curate all this, not in a month for each season, just time and keeping my home neutral for 41+ years to accommodate not just changing styles but tastes, as good quality upholstered pieces and furniture as YOU can afford, neutral wall paint, real wood table/side tables- these all are classic and change with style and trends, then, keeping all the seasonal decor to a minimum amount so I can add something new and fresh every once in a while, and, I don’t put the exact same pieces in the exact same place each year, I mix it up every year, move wall hangings/pictures around, furniture around. The only thing I don’t change is my woven window shades and natural linen curtains that is in every room of my house and I had paint color matched to them and painted all my walls that color this year.
