I never knew this and it's funny:I was raised in a MUSLIM FAMILY....
Syaitan was an arrogance remember,he refused to obey Allah command by making Sajdah to Adam,let alone to ask for forgiveness.Like in our daily life also, some people with arrogance attitude always hard to admit their mistake n to say sorry. :)Plus it also a qadr of Allah.Allah know best :) May Allah protect all of us.

Tony Benz It isn't. We were made to be tested on Earth, Satan asks God to give him some time until the judgement day after he refuses to prostrate to Adam, meaning we were going to be sent here, before Adam even approached the tree.
Tony Benz as far as my knowledge, YES, in both Christianity and Islam, Adam and Eve ate from the tree- this act was going against God's orders by eating from that tree AND listening to Satan which God had warned them before that Satan is an open enemy to you (adam and eve and all humans). As a result of these two acts of disobedience, God sent them down onto earth as a punishment and caused Eve to conceive and create generations of mankind on Earth until the Day of Judgement.
I do totally understand your question as -like anyone- sometimes I question the same, however, no one can completely answer as this is something only God knows and for whatever reason has not been explicitly been explained. This is where our trust and faith comes in to know that God has plans for us and has provided us with a clear book with guidance of earning our way back to Heaven. First came the Torah (mankind went astray again) so the Gospel was sent (but man went astray again) then the final book Qur'an is left.
As we say in Arabic - Allahu'alim (God knows/has all knowledge). I hope this helps. Peace.

Tony Benz Did you even hear the ending properly? Allah gave Adam and Eve clothes in Heaven, as a personal gift, and they were honored by the fact they would not need any other clothing when they have those special clothes. Removing their clothing is like humiliating them from Allah's honor for satan.
