Joe Bonamassa always delivers an impressive show! 🎸🔥 His take on *Starship Trooper* is both powerful and respectful to the original. Do you think his version added a new dimension to the classic? 😊🤘
Absolutely agree! Reese Wynans brought such soul to that intro-it’s pure magic. 🎹🔥 Do you think his touch adds a new dimension to Bonamassa’s take on this classic? 🎸😊
I get what you're saying! Sometimes the classics are best left untouched. Joe Bonamassa definitely brings his own style, but there’s something about the original magic of these rock songs. Do you have a favorite version of Starship Trooper, or is the original the only way to go for you?
@@Vol10plus1 My R & R Brother, I am 60 today. I grew up to rock music, and I'd say my generation started between the early to mid 1970s. Having an older sister eight years in front of me, and her bringing home fresh songs on those 45 singles, that actually pushed my generation to the late '60s. I remember Elton John BEFORE he became an international superstar. I'd say I'm a traditionalist. Music is far more important to me than television and Hollywood, and just above sports. If I see anyone perform any song, and they do it in concert, I kind of expect that artist to do everything possible in accordance with the original track. Especially a cover or tribute band. This is the MAJOR reason (s) why I despise American Idol, Americ's Got Talent, and the rest of those garbage "talent" shows. Actually, being a guitarist myself, I'd love to be in a tribute band. But the truth is, I'm not good enough. Besides, even if I were, no audience out there really listens to my eras of groups. Some still do, but steadily dwindling. A goal would be for my tribute band to perform the seven-minute track "Shooting Shark" by Blue Oyster Cult, the 1983 original release.
@@m.scottreeder Thank you for sharing your story, my R & R brother! It’s amazing how those early influences, like your sister’s 45s, shape a lifetime love for music. I completely respect your traditionalist approach to live performances-there’s something sacred about staying true to the original sound. And I hear you on those talent shows, they just don’t capture the soul of real musicianship. As for "Shooting Shark," that would be an epic tribute! Whether you play it in a band or just for yourself, the passion for the music is what matters most. Keep rockin’! 🤘
Band is tighter than a seized bolt. One of my favorite Bonamassa performances.
The Best Yes cover ever......!

The great Joe Bonamassa and the ageless Reese Wynans on the Hammond organ. Good Stuff.

So very beautiful.
The band are superb and Joes improv is sublime
Very good indeed .
Well done Joe!!! I remembered the YES performance in Dortmund and Trevor Rabin's guitar. Really one of the best solos!
I approve of this performance.

@@Vol10plus1 I think his version added a new dimension to his catalogue.
12 years old and he opened for BB King. Amazing
He has a room full of vintage Fender and Marshall guitars and amps. Amazing
See, I too can type out an irrelevant comment!
This is beautifully apocalyptic
this might be the dumbest comment ive ever read
Wow! Yes na Yes!

So....awesome ....
Sorry...but...this is just....Totally ....Fucking AWESOME !!!!!

Goosebumps
100% sure. That's the magic of music! What songs give you goosebumps the most?
Beautiful 🎸🔥
Reese Wynans intro solo is tremendous

Wow very heavy! Great!
Tasteful cover. Excellent!
Glad you enjoyed it! A tasteful cover can really bring out something special in a song. What stood out to you the most?
The Wurm - Steve Howe is the master. It's his song. Trevor Rabin does outstanding work on the song within the YES years.
Hard to say but this is better 😮😮.
Amazing
Glad to hear you think so! 😮 It’s always awesome when something surprises you in the best way!
Joe en MODO DIOS.
Wish they would publish the full version of this song on Joe’s channel. I think it’s the only one they did t from that show.
No flanger pedal. Nice try, though. Leave these classic rock songs ALONE!! Make your own music!!
