Light beyond shadow,
Joy beyond tears,
Love that is greater when darkest our fears;
deeper the Peace when the storm is around,
nearer the Hope to the lost who is found.
Light of the world, ever shining, shining!
Hope in our pain and our dying.
in our darkness, there is Light,
in our crying, there is Love,
in the noise of life imparting
Peace

I had the privilege of getting to perform this piece last spring with a community choir that I'm in. My favorite part is the "in our darkness there is light, in our crying there is love; in the noise of life imparting peace that passes understanding." The setting for it is so beautiful and delicate; gives me chills and makes me cry all at the same time. Every once in awhile I come back to sing it and remember.

This is a truly moving & beautiful song to perform for others (New West Symphony & Chorus) & I heard The SymphoNYChorus perform it this weekend. We lost a dear friend in the group prematurely to Covid, and the song & concert were dedicated to her. Thank you for your incredible compositions, Mr. Forrester.
