@@tr3vk4m The 'they were Pagans' is pretty widely known to be BS. It started with Ian Kershaw (priest's son) when he uncovered in 1945 that the whole third reich regime was the culmination of christian core values, very specifically including anti-semitism, which was a christian core tenet since Roman times especially among catholics. Himmler was an outcast for not being an open christian and some stuff the nazis even wouldn't touch for example was the famous case of cross-removal in Oldenburg (nazism was eucomenic in nature). Catholics protested of course, and whereas the nazis always responded with violence, there they backed down. The Waffen SS only knew three personel categories: 1 catholic, 2 protestant, 3 'gottglaubig' (believer in God) which covers the remaining smaller christian groups. There wasn't even a category called 'questions christianity' or 'doesn't attend church' or 'muslim'. Just plain didn't exist. It's never been a thing. Neo-nazis are christians or christian-ish conservatives who look at other religions and respond with hate. The concept of them going Pagan goes against everything that they stand for. So if he's been around a 'so we burned bibles' neonazi event, you there's two options: 1 - He initiated and drove it forward himself and the rest followed along 2 - This is the first-ever neonazi gang in a history of over 70 years to do that, which is unlikely. Source for this outside of the mentioned historical facts: The joys of growing up in a very 'culturally enriched' environement with tons of violence and tons of kids becoming neonazis in response to said violence. They'd firebomb the local mosque on fridays or saturdays after being attacked by Moroccans, only that's the Turkish mosque. Moroccan mosque is down the way, but that's how dumb they were. 😆 I was detained for roughly half an hour after a fight where a gang got taken down. White couple in their 50s got attacked, it was turning to murder with them kicking the guy's head while he's knocked down on the floor, so we went down, stopped them, most decisively. Tried to punch a guy, hit him in the throat by accident, insta-stopped him. Gang member's name was Soufiane El Jelali, you can google him, he died around late '14 early '15 in a US airstrike in Syria while he was fighting for ISIS. Anyway, leftwing mayor Verdier didn't like racist murderers getting punched, so he was literally howling over the radio for our arrest, and me and a friend had to come to the station. My friend had basically done a highspeed introduction between a gang member's head and a street lamppost, repeatedly, which can legit be fatal, and he did it right in front of an officer. Now the officers there know the gang and share our frustrations, but there's only so much that they'll forgive as 'chaos of the struggle'. So that in front of a police witness and the fact that Soufiane was gasped KTFOd for 15+ minutes meant we were the lucky ones. No cuffs, just walk across the street to the station. Custody sergeant flat out refused to detain us: No indication of a crime. Stalemate. Police chief was called, ordered us released. Well, released, we were drinking coffee in the hallway of the police station as people kept walking in to 'free' us only to get sent out by the cops. 😆 After that incident I could walk into any white group from completely normal people to combat-boots-wearing head-shaving DJ-adolf-listening freaks and be welcome, so I did. And mostly I gave them sh/t over their racism because it makes no sense, regardless of how big the integration problems of any given minority get. My favourite was the nazi kid who I told it was BS, and he answered "I know not all immigrants are bad. I just want things to change you know."
10:09 for those wondering why he looked for/was concerned about the presence of plastic: it's because plastic, typically slightly opaque or black contractor bag-like sheets, means the Outlaws would've wanted an easy cleanup if things got violent. _No scrubbing._
This is the kind of bravery from law enforcement I actually respect. Risking your livelihood to take down hate groups is incredibly commendable. When he was describing the adrenaline he felt when he was wearing a wire and almost got busted I could envision just how hard it was to stay focused on surviving and staying undercover when your body is actively shutting down. I have fainting spells from anxiety and I completely lose my ability to stand so the fact he was able to stay cool enough that other people wouldn’t notice is INSANE. This guy has lived a life I cannot even begin to imagine. Brave and scary work, doing something that actually makes the world better and safer.
In Tennessee the FBI had informants in the KKK who told them about dynamite the group had gotten, and they opted to do nothing. A school was blown up and the FBI left it to local law enforcement to investigate. Being undercover is different from being an informant, but you can’t take it at face value when the FBI pats itself on the back.
They've done this kind of stuff forever. The majority of these groups being investigated are fronted by other agencies. All of it to circulate a narrative that these groups are the greatest threat to mankind when the average American hasn't seen or heard the name outside of a documentary that they've since forgotten about. "We foiled this plot that we planned that saved everybody from something that we wouldn't have allowed to happen anyway." Uhhh... thanks. "Yeah, can we have more funding now?"
That prayer story in the end overwhelmed me because I had a similar experience with my wife working similar cases when we were first married. If I ever meet this man, I’m giving him the biggest hug I can muster up.

The 'they were Pagans' is pretty widely known to be BS.
So if he's been around a 'so we burned bibles' neonazi event, you there's two options:
1 - He initiated and drove it forward himself and the rest followed along
2 - This is the first-ever neonazi gang in a history of over 70 years to do that, which is unlikely.
Source for this outside of the mentioned historical facts:
The joys of growing up in a very 'culturally enriched' environement with tons of violence and tons of kids becoming neonazis in response to said violence. They'd firebomb the local mosque on fridays or saturdays after being attacked by Moroccans, only that's the Turkish mosque. Moroccan mosque is down the way, but that's how dumb they were. 😆
I was detained for roughly half an hour after a fight where a gang got taken down.
After that incident I could walk into any white group from completely normal people to combat-boots-wearing head-shaving DJ-adolf-listening freaks and be welcome, so I did. And mostly I gave them sh/t over their racism because it makes no sense, regardless of how big the integration problems of any given minority get. My favourite was the nazi kid who I told it was BS, and he answered "I know not all immigrants are bad. I just want things to change you know."

Someone did know obviously or suspect it but it was probably someone else that helped him get through the background check that's why he said it was his faith because he doesn't know how he actually did it!
thatd be a great line to cut the tension.

That was the quickest 56 minutes ive ever encountered. Great story telling and what an amazing guy. I couldnt imagine the stuff he remembers that wasn’t shared that still effects his personal life. I hope he takes great care of his mental health and continues sharing his legacy because that is part of maintaining good mental health. He did a great job and that’s something he can hang his hat on forever. Thank you, Scott.
This was crazy, huge props to this man for putting himself on the line in the name of justice. Insane

Couldn't find anyone on that last tho? He's too busy creating fake stories and engaging in entrapment so he can be astroturfed by his handlers
I would never have suspected him of being an FBI agent, he must've graduated top of his class.
I love that one mafia movie. That Italian guy who was with the mafia. Beautiful.
Scott’s an amazing man. He was on Retired FBI Case Files with Gerri Williams’ podcast. Such a brave/good guy. Kudos too his wife and family, too, for sacrificing, supporting and enabling him to make such a big impact. ❤
He was also on Joe Rogan's podcast. Heartbreaking stuff
Cedo...
That was the best damn interview EVER! I love this guy, he's such a natural speaker. Absolutely excellent. Thank you.
It's a shame he gets something pretty darn major wrong; You cannot die from touching fentanyl. That's a myth. If you breathe it in that's one thing, but touching it does nothing. It's not LSD. I hate when people perpetuate drug myths.
Bro! That last comment sent goosebumps over my entire body!!!
I do not know how they do it but these “Authorized” interviews are SO interesting and engaging. They find the most articulate and captivating storytellers for these. Just incredible. And you learn SO much. Keep these coming.
This man is good at his job, and his storytelling skills are on point
This guy has to be one of the most genuine human beings you can see. Makes me proud to hear of his faith too
How in the world is a man that has a career of pretending to be other people considered genuine? Imagine the relationships he made with people. How close he was with that biker brother of his whose baby he held. He literally told us the definition of undercover is someone who is willing and able to betray the relationships of those that trust them. Is this genuine to you??
@anonymoususer8924 i understand that perspective, however, you can see how the holy spirit protected him in instances where he was working to potentially protect greater amounts of people. I find it really interesting how the timing of his circumstances worked out. Pretty neat story
@@anonymoususer8924 as a none white supremacist normal guy in military I would say he's a genuine dude. Unless you are one of those guys that do shady stuff then watch out lmao

"I knew you's an undercover FBI agent, but still sold ya coke for months."😅
I knew a guy that " allegedly" sold coke to a cop for like ten years he would always be at his house drinking he knew him for years and he would sometimes pull up in uniform. His house was next to a park so I would see him pull up and grab something from a cooler and leave 😂

Fighting drugs. One pill at a time. America is free. But not that free.
This gentleman deserves so much credit for what he did it’s hard to put into words. The ability to control your emotions, remember your fake info, and try to stare down killers is just so foreign to me. I get nervous being pulled over for a spot check when I have done nothing wrong and and have nothing to hide. It really is mind boggling how they can do this.
Thank you Sir
On top of it all, he is so well spoken, hardly ever said “um” and how do u even summarize years of being in these situations!
"Hey, y- you boys like to ride?" at 2:33 ... that cracked mee uppppp😂😂😂
This guy feels so familiar. Maybe that was his plan or he's just so friendly that you feel like you know him very quickly.
That ending gave me chills! Thank you to everyone at Insider and Scott Payne himself for such an amazing video!
He's a manipulater
He was on the show 60 days in also
It feels like I already know him, very strange.
I could listen to this man for hours. Wish the video was longer or he had a series just talking about stuff and telling stories.
Thank you for sharing some of your story with us sir. And thank you for doing the work you did.
This is now definitely one of my top 3 Insider episodes.
He’s got like a three hour podcast with Rogan.
He has a book, Code Name: Pale Horse which goes through his undercover cases.
Mind it’s hard to put down, only took me 2 days to finish it! Absolutely gripping.
@@NEKLBhe reads his own book for the audio book too which is super great to listen too

Best interview video I’ve ever seen
When you watch a 56minute long video that doesn't feel like 56minutes when it finishes, you know you enjoyed it
that quick look after he said "it's uncomfortable... it's cold" had me dead
lmfao we all know what he actually meant
It's the kind of guy who never complain, and just look for solutions. If there are no solutions, complaining is still not on the list.
This guy is the cop you hope you run into, stories, good personality, easy to talk to.
Great video..loved his stories so much I went to Amazon and bought his book. Can't wait to read it.
"There are few things a good cop hates worse than a bad cop." Man oh man, there must be some serious unseen hatred between cops these days then.
One of Insider's best videos yet
Scott Payne: "This is how undercover agents work..."

I love this guy, A+ personality, presents authentically and with passion; bloody awesome to listen to!
46:24 This line right here is heartbreaking. Never really considered how you close you might get to people in this line of work.
Whos the guy scott hes referring to?
@@solanol9607 the guy from the story in the beginning i think
It proves that he is a psycho who can betray anyone who he has ever met, no matter the reason. Stopping a murderer plot is one thing, arresting some silly cocaine using hillbilly is another matter entirely. This man has no morals beyond following the orders and his own self promotion

Easily amused . Low frequency. This country along with most the world is just an illusion . And you have been lied to your whole existence.
Get out in nature .
Do some soul searching . Do a cleanse . Unlearn the lies you been fed ..
AMERIMACKA,
25:30 its crazy that they identified him by being the most dedicated and hard working. Tells you all you need to know about these people!
This was so interesting! I always love hearing from folks who love their work. Thank you for this video!
This video is really well-made. The editing, the voiceover, the visuals... I do have a recommendation, though: Please hire a transcriber! Auto-generated subtitles suck, but I have Auditory Processing Disorder and often use them simply because the alternative is no captions. Still, love the video! Keep it up :D
“I’m a professional liar, but I’m not lyin’ now.”
This is what I think whenever I see interviews of actors.... Like why would I care what an actor thinks??? They sre PAID to act!
@@hhjhj393 because actors and FBI agents have a choice: to tell their story or to lie. The reason we want to know what both think is to confirm or deny their bias and possibly have some insight into their reality -- ultimately what you do with the information and if you believe it automatically is up to you.
Some of this seems like propaganda. The white supremacy guys were burning American flags? And sharing a name with Islamic terror groups? Those dots don’t seem to connect to me
Yeauhh, but the key to his success was that he was being himself. Truth and fiction are strange bed fellows. As the people who are in a dark place reading this know, they will find you. What is done in the dark will be brought to the light. No one gets away with anything.
He was undercover when he lied, no need to lie when doing interviews. Also the newspaper clippings seemed to corroborate his stories.
55:30 this feeling is one I have experienced before -
the strength of the spirit is surreal
Incredible stories and video, I wish Scott Payne all the best, thank you for your service from Germany Europe !

This man deserves the utmost respect for putting his life on the line to keep others safe. One thing he mentions or emphasizes (throughout his biography) is the "OATH" that he took as an officer and FBI agent. The truth of those who take it for granted or tarnish that honorary badge. God bless you, sir, and thank you!!! 🇺🇸
Kash Patell and his new podcaster lacky are dishonoring the badge currently. They are gutting the department under false pretenses and doing so in an illegal manner.

What a healthy way to look at law enforcement and criminals…we’re all just people and being one or the other does not automatically make you “good” or “bad”.
Child SA means you ARE a very bad person.
You're just saying this because they're white.
@@f8ofk8 So you COMPLETELY missed the point of the comment, because not one person said that wasn't the case.

Paraphrasing here but... "I called my wife, and the first thing she said was 'Are you okay?' So, I said yeah. She goes on, tells me that she got an overwhelmin' feelin' when she was picking the kids up, and started prayin' for me. I matched up the times, later, and it was when I was in that basement."
