I had the 180cc 2 stroke in 1999 and it went like a rocket with a pmf exhaust pipe. Loved it. Unfortunately it got stolen 4 times which I retrieved 3 times but not the last theft. I used to hear it occasionally being ragged around the exhaust note barp barp barp… The one that got away. Shame….
I bet my Yamaha Aerox 155 would see this Italjet off at the lights, which is all you need in a city scooter. I have to admit the Dragster looks better, though.
Some of the metal finishes and fasteners succumb to the elements really quickly at the coast, depending on conditions and level of user care. At a price like that, one would expect the use of manufacturing materials less reminiscent of a Chinese scooter. You'd never ever know, when it's flirting with you on the showroom floor, but leave it in the rain a few times in the first year or 2 of ownership, and see.
04:14 “adding a further R250,000” 😂 Anyway, great design and might make sense in a congested European town somewhere where style matter more than substance but to me, underneath all the bells and whistles, it’s still just a scooter…sold at a price that can get you something 2nd hand (or possibly even new) which has both style and sunstance
Cool scooter but I agree for R130k I can get two lovely preowned or new bikes..il get a used super bike plus have change for scooter new..hero has a 125FI for R27k I mean I’m not trying to do 140kmh on scooter
I don't agree with your comments on performance. As an owner of a dragster it's much better than anyother in it's range. All that said it also is an igon for style that you can't find aswere.
Performance stuck in the past? When shall people realize a 125-200cc four stoke never have and never will have any direct power. It is a myth that the old 125-180cc two stroke scooters had extreme power as well. They had the same top speed but slightly better accelration at the cost of fuel economy. These kind of scooters have a top speed in reality of 100-110 km/h, thats it…….
Not worth it, it's only 125cc... My old supercub could do what this one can but more reliably. I'm sorry for people that bought this 125 variant of it.
I have the 200 with full akrapovic system and full malossi cvt set up and it fuckin flies especially off the line im killing xmax 400s. Not to mention i weigh 80 kg….
So it can be tune up. I was considering buy because now i have derbi gp1 250 and it is gorgeous but missing some power. Still didnt install my costa variator👀
It’s a thing of beauty , I’m hoping the 500 makes it into production 🏍👍
A 300 and a 500 are soon to come out.
As an owner I can only say it’s amazing bike thx good review 👍🏼
Nice👏 Always enjoy his reviews. Don’t be such a stranger.

wanted an Italjet for years sadly not available in Canada :(
You can't import one ?
Beautiful super scooter
Someone needs to fit an older 180cc 2 stroke engine to it 😁
I have a gilera runner with that engine 😌
@@SLAYER-nm5zw nice! its a great engine, i had the original Dragster with the 180 engine :)
@@mark675 nice😊
No offense but I don't think scooters are made for 20 stone guys? Might of been more of a realistic performance test with someone around 12 stone?
I will buy it!!! 😍😍
No expense was spared, except on the engine.
Coll little scooter👍🏻

" we eventually concluded it has to be witchcraft"......not taking yourselves too seriously - breath of fresh air..!

"just a scooter"
🤡
@@wtf943 give us a bit more than a quote and emoji…no idea wherher I need to take offence or not 🤷🏻♂️
That will be stolen 5 minutes after its parked.
It looks good but you would of thought they put a 15 bhp engine in it instead of 12 bhp as every bit of power counts when its only a 125

It's like getting a dictionary with a sparkley cover. No point in any of that when it's so damn slow
I think this scooter might be the definition of “over engineering” 😂
I hope the 500GP is much much faster.

if the front suspension is effective, why they didn't do it in the 500.
A few weeks of eating salads might help with that lag.
First time ever watching your great channel, during which I caught myself thinking, "What a load of kak."

A very very expensive scooter. You can get a brand new 600cc bike for that price.
Probably also leaves a beautiful trail of lost screws... If it happens to work long enough.
I used to look forward to this show on tv, but sadly its become irrelevant. Its more a continuous advert for Fire it Up..
Slow of the mark - but ironically called a 'Dragster'....
It will be a twat to keep clean
It's not a scooter. It's a good looking motorized bicycle. Scooters have weather protection, comfort and storage.
Amazing machine, but as an aprilia and KTM owner, i believe that everything will fall apart...
Needs to be a two stroke
The original 2000 model was a 180 cc two stroke and went like the clippers.
This 4 stroke is not very quick
Nice as it is,thats a lot of coin for a niche scooter from a boom and bust manufacturer....
Way too expensive. Jet200i Sym far better at fraction of the price.
Will be very expensive to service. Looks cool. But thats it.
I'm a be honest...... I think this scoot looks fugly....
honestly, to me it looks like they ran short on plastics and decided to just release it and call it "style". Not really my cup of tea.
Can we all just agree to stop buying scooters. It should stop them making them.
Supernakeds all day.

Just buy the italjet dragster 300cc😊
Is it true Scomadi engines are shite?
