As someone who literally JUST peaked platinum as a mainly a doom 1 trick this isn't accurate. It's roll or be rolled/ swapped to oblivion. Games where I pop off and dominate on doom in gold I get called a smurf all the time. Other games people cry for a shield even when I'm getting value lol

I don't think nerfing Doomfist's slam range is that big a deal, but messing with the cooldown might make his survivability a lot worse during teamfights... It's only .5 of a second, but I could still feel it in the practice range. Guess I'll have to see how he performs. Personally I think buffing Torb's turret health is okay. That thing goes down so easily. It's completely stationary so it's not like the extra 50hp will help that much. But the hammer damage buff is hilarious LMAO

Ultimately I get the logic for why they nerfed doom that they outlined and the nerf itself is small, but it never feels good for a character that usually has to work hard/play well for kills to get nerfed because even small nerfs can make it that much harder. It's all about what feels good, in addition to the hard numbers.
The thing is, in ow1 and ow2 beta, it was 8 seconds, they later buffed it to 7 seconds, and they buffed it again at 6 seconds, this will not impact anything. But shockwave is still buggy and that 3 meters will affect alot

Maybe now I'll be able to headshot with Mercy's blaster again. Ever since the projectile changes her blaster projectile hitbox was so big, that when I was aiming at the head of some heroes, I was getting body shots instead of headshots, it's was so annoying
That‘s actually not true. Most of Mercy‘s hitbox changes were already reverted long ago. Her bullet size compared to season 8 just went from 0.25 to 0.275m. This projectile size nerf of s14 only effects big projectiles like Pharah or Junk. Mercy is not effected by this at all.

My guess is devs think Rivals will dominate for a while no matter what, so it’s a patch for the sake of saying they did something. When Rivals hype dies a bit, OW can then release a good patch to lure players back.
The point of the turret buff is so that he has a better chance of actually deploying it mid-fight, since it's very easy to destroy it as it's deploying. Turret also generally felt super meh ever since the damage reduction, hp makes sense so that it isn't oppressive again, but is more present.
I will say re: doom changes, by the end of s13 i was seeing a lot of dooms (sometimes several games in a row). However, I didn't feel he was an outlier (even as a zen main) but the internal data may paint a different picture.
It turns out that they returned the damage of the railgun to her, but left the (increased during the nerfs) charging time and the fact that it breaks through several enemies not only in the ult. as a result, soj will now be much more dangerous than even in the first season. insane dmg, quick charge and ability to hit through targets
Low-key the change to Bonespur's spread is REALLY good. There have a been a lot of times when someone tried to escape and I jumped after them, lined a shot, and finished them off clean.
What happened to the reaper rework they mentioned it six months ago and then went silent. They need to bring back full reworks cause heroes like reaper, mauga and widow desperately need them. These band aid fixes do absolutely nothing
The fact that we don’t really have access to the data they use really kinda hurts them. If we could see the data, I could understand even if I’d argue that player perception is a little more important. Idk man, they really ought to pay more attention to player perception, I don’t really care if characters like mauga or orisa are doing poorly, the game is better the less they are played and the less they are winning.

Torbs turret absolutely needed the buff. Without his turret, torb is a giy with a nail gun. Could be ur dad😂. since season 1 of ow2 its felt like a sneeze will destroy torbs turret. Was playing classic regurlaly and i loved every second of classic torb.

Casual gold player here. Doom dominates bad teams who don’t counter swap just like Mauga and Hog do. Devs should see what a silver/gold Hog gets away with against teams without Ana or Zen. 🤢🐷

This change needs reverted like next week because I am a very mediocre hitscan DPS player and I could roll lobbies with her. Absolutely the biggest out of touch change.

I'm still having trouble with the Mercy GA cooldown nerf. After 8 years playing the hero, it was second nature. The Classic event did not help 😅

Playing support feels horrifically bad… role passives are without question the worst thing they have done to this game (after 5v5)…

Doom is terrible to play against on console at any rank. I hope they nerf him permanently into the ground.
Terrible to play WITH too. When I play support it feels like 70% of the games I get doom and ball one tricks on my team. I’d even prefer to have hog
