Dear TechHut , I started with RedHat Linux in 1996 , and , as a DistroHopper , since then I tryed plenty of Linux Distros . And in many cases , I got inspiration from you video materials 🙂 That's why I liked your videos tens of times ; congrats ! But in this particular case I have the feeling of "it is easier to distroy than to build" ! For example the installer was perfect , the first run also , no anoying adds in the start menu , I reached 4300 packs installed via apt and no error ! Plus this beautiful ideea of talented youngsters who created something new and beautiful . That's why I fount the hint DON'T ... a little bit shocking . There is an "Activate Wubuntu" notification that pops up everytime you boot into it which is pretty funny
This is a scam distro. They are breaching multiple copyrights, GDPR, etc.
@@LinuxAnonymous I don't think it's a distro entirely made to scam people because it can help people make the switch from Windows to Linux and gives them a familiar interface. I agree with copyright issues but Microsoft haven't taken action against it (yet)

I tried this on the test-bed system AMD FX black, 16 RAM and 500 GB & 7200 RPM hard drive. Was shocked in that it installed Starcraft and Broodwar from the original disks. Plus Starcraft was still running several days later. This is far beyond anything I had accomplished on my own with Wine or Bottles. So I have to credit the developer's integration and accomplishments with this release. These guys rock!
My only issue with wubuntu is that they sell a license for wubuntu, and they're clearly using copyrighted assets (icons, wallpaper and all), so they're in legal grounds to be sued by Microsoft for selling copyrighted material
They are using Microsoft software on the other hand. Is this the reason for not getting sued? What does an internet protocol say? :-)

I have never been a fan of emulating Windows for a whole distro as a gimmick.
true. would rather emulate a macos look. currently running a mix of mac and windows design for the theme. for example, top bar and dock emulating mac, and windows-like window buttons and positioning.

Wubuntu is not so new : it's LinuxFX with a new name. If you want to have a Windows-like graphic interface with KDE Plasma, it will take you less than 5 minutes (using configuration panel) whenever being on Kubuntu, Debian, Fedora or Arch. I think a Linux beginner doesn't need this when coming from Windows as he doesn't need ElementaryOS when coming from MacOS (Gnome would be easy enough to use).
Do new Linux users need 100% look-like graphic interfaces with their former OS (Windows or MacOS) ? Can't they just use Plasma or Gnome (or others DE) ?
GNU/Linux is GNU/Linux and not a Windows or MacOS imitation.

Btop aka Btop++ isn't a terminal persay... it shows what apps/services are running on your system but yes it does RUN in a terminal/terminal emulator.
8:14 I'm not sure if this is related to your case, but sometimes because of the styling of a website, you may not be able to unselect a selection. This is a bug in Chromium, not a bug but a bad standard specification in w3c.

I've used Linux looking enough that I don't need of care for any like-alike or feel-alike any other Operating System (OS). That said, it might work for some, so why not have more choice. As for me, I will pass. On another note, I am currently using Zorin 17 Pro as my daily driver and I have been well pleased using a paid version of Linux. I actually paid for Zorion 16 Pro, but never used it. And, yes, I even financially contribute to other distros that are completely FREE. My point is, we should support those who provide the products we use, as we are able. Thanks brother and God bless,
Windows layout has been around for so long. Tons of users that barely ever got into linux themselves find it as a big hype like its the first time ever or some insult saying "finally linux is catching up" when its been around lmao. I remember making my system look like Windows 7 or XP back in 2015

Plus I 100% agree with you this could be done via script. Besides looking good on 1st sight I just don't see who is the targeted audience? I do wish them all the best but once you get a Linux fever... the Matri...Penguin has you. In less than a year you are already using zsh and configuring your own dotfiles, by the time you discover how amazing docker is you are... uff, I've already said too much.
Maybe so with the pricing, but remember, Win 11 won't run on say a 5th gen Intel chip unless you do some workarounds, and no telling how long that will last until the next Microsoft update. They're just creating more toxic hardware in the landfills.

Honestly, Linux is such a disappointment. They failed to build a damn UI that doesn't look like trash. If they can't do such a simple thing, I don't know how to think about other things that they have done. I don't know about the technicality of things, so I can't say anything about it. I feel like all OSes are trash, and Linux in some places is less trash, so that's why some people like it.
It only looks like trash if you're trying to use theming in GTK, now that the GNOME project has completely fubarred theming on purpose.
