@@martinpatrick9915 colm was the original Jean Val Jean. Bring him home was written for him. He played the cameo of the priest on the film because it’s a role he always wanted to play.
Its a prayer like song. One of young soldiers on the bastille dies and valjean mourns the kid if he was his own. As monsieur le mayor its hinted that he a number of children before the revolution started while he was on the run javert @emmaclayton9146
Love the self-contained stillness and conviction of Philip Quast's Javert. It makes his ultimate crumbling all the more moving. A truly accurate portrayal based on thorough study of the Hugo character in the book.
Colm Wilkinson's glorious "Bring Him Home", Michael Ball's unsurpassed Marius (sorry Eddie Redmayne, I love you but you're just no match vocally), and the superb Lea Salonga... oh, and Philip Quast... what a dream! All we needed for complete happiness was Mr Karimloo as Enjoleras - alas no time machine was available :-)
I’ve always wondered where ON EARTH the applause is after Colm holds that famous last note on Bring Him Home, then STRAIGHT into One Day More with complete ease and control?!!
What an absolutely brilliant cast: Colm Wilkinson, Michael Ball, Lea Salonga, Ruthie Henshall and Philip Quast! Can't get any better than this!
Nope! It can’t!
Colm was the priest in the film version of les mis.

Lea Salonga is Éponine here! As well as Kim in Miss. Saigon! :D

perhaps they are so appreciative of his brilliance that they are saving the applause to show respect at the end.
PERFECTION AT ITS FINEST!
Absolutely brilliant cast. The best of the best.

Micheal Ball was javert in the staged concert of les mis with Alfie Bow.

Woah!! Michael Ball & Philip Quast
Enjolras = Hal Fowler. Cosette = Marie Zamora.

The guy playing Enjo ruined it 😭
When did they film this particular bit?
I thought their acting was good in TAC, when they were limited because they had to stay next to the microphones,
