No Name for actual concerts? Through concert ticket sellers. It depends who the company have gone with and what country you’re in sometimes. For example, I’m seeing them in London and the tickets were via axs. Other concerts like BTS are through ticketmaster/live nation generally. Sometimes the entertainment companies organise the tours themselves and you find the information via them (I joined twitter on purpose so I could be up to date with concert information) and other times it’s via a company who contacts the entertainment company and organises the concerts themselves. For SuperM it was magic sound kpop which I found on twitter, for others like Ateez it’s my music taste. I’ve only been going to concerts since October 2018 because I didn’t have the money before, since then I’ve gone to: BTS: October 2018, Ateez: April 2019, SF9: May 2019, BTS: June 2019, NCT 127: July 2019, Monsta X: July 2019, Stray Kids: July 2019, Got7: October 2019, The Boyz: December 2019, Day6: January 2020. Missed out on ACE, Day6, Pentagon, KNK, VAV in 2019 from a combination of not being able to take time off work and only having standing seats available. Also had tickets for a multi-concert where we would have seen Super Junior, NCT Dream, and CIX for example, but the concert was cancelled. We then next have SuperM: February 2020, had tickets for Seventeen in March but the Europe tour was cancelled (still sad about it) and Ateez at the end of March 6 days before we fly to Korea. We actually have tickets to go to one off the music shows but at the moment they’re not allowing audiences there because of coronavirus so that might get cancelled, then when we fly to Japan a week later at the beginning of April, we have 3 day tickets for KCON and will see: Cherry Bullet, Stray Kids, Astro, Oh My Girl, SF9, Day6, Verivery, Everglow, Pentagon, The Boyz, AB6IX, IZ*ONE, LOONA, ONEUS, TXT. These are only the first and second lineups, there may be more announced. Then in London in May, there’s (G)I-DLE and Stray Kids and July BTS. If I have the money I’ll do KCON in Thailand in September as well. At some point I’m going to have to stop before I’m completely broke lol!
melovesawyer how much does tickets commonly cost and how do I know the tickets aren’t a scam if I pick the one website that isn’t real that’s my biggest worry. Is there a website you use to order tickets online and which twitter accounts do you follow? Also you seem to know a lot about the Kpop concerts is there any concerts happing in America 2020 for Kpop boy groups?
No Name hi, if you don’t do twitter then kpopmap.com is pretty up to date with tours, just click on the top right icon which looks like 3 lines, then look for upcoming world tours. For boy groups, Stray Kids and SuperM are now done with the USA, but VAV starts in the US tomorrow, then CIX and 1Team Start in March, BTS and Ateez in April, more groups will be added once they announce them. It tells you the exact date and place of concert as well. Ticket price wise no idea because whenever I’ve converted the dollar prices to British pounds the American tickets always seem to be cheaper, the same with the concert merchandise as well! The ticket buying sites that I mentioned, AXS, ticketmaster, live nation are all official ticket sellers so you can’t be scammed if you buy directly from them. Livenation is often linked with ticketmaster so sometimes have the same tickets for sale. If you search on the sites for the group names, it’ll come up with the dates and places, if you click on one it should show you which tickets are still available and how much. Axs and ticketmaster also have a resale ticket, which is where if people have bought tickets directly from them and want to sell them, they put them up for sale on those websites and you can then buy them. Because they’re official ones that were bought from them in the first place, they are always proper tickets as well, not fake ones, and at least AXS don’t let people sell them for much more than they bought them for in the first place. At least half the concerts I’ve gone to I’ve bought them from these resale options. Hope this helps and hope you get to go to a kpop concert one day!
