Iam a single mom of one and budgeting has made a huge impact in my life definitely for the best bcuz i have allocated funds for every thing including splurges. I can relate about the rent bcuz mine increase yearly as well and now i have to do some rearranging on my budget due to my sons college tuition has increased as well but i will say iam proud that i was able to pay for his first year of college which he just completed debt free no loans taken out no late payments nothing . And i definitely attribute that to budgeting bcuz my goal is for him to graduate debt free as well so budgeting videos like yours keep me motivated as well

Unfortunately, I've never been in a property for multiple years, and the rent stays the same. Mortgage can rise due to property taxes, etc.

Absolutely. Inflation has affected everyone. Everything is so dang expensive. It’s hard to survive on a 9-to-5. This is why nearly everybody has a side hustle nowadays. Some have two or three. I miss the old days. 😩

Sorry to hear about your rent going up. I feel ya, I got hit as well this year. Again. Lived here 5 years and rent has gone up 4 times. The worst part is, it's a brand new building! It's not like they have to renovate/replace stuff. We cash stuff to be prepared for this kind of thing but it is still .......IRRITATING (to put it nicely). 💜
Absolutely. Every single year since I moved here my rent has gone up. I worry about the future and the ever growing inflation. It’s scary.

It’s going up for a lot of people. The prices are getting out of hand, but it is what it is. I’m just grateful to God that we are in a position where we can afford the increase. But even though it still sucks because that’s a little less in our pockets every time rent increases.
Our rent gets raised every year. We pay about double what you pay for a 2 bedroom. 😭 That’s CA for ya. Great stuffing 💜

I absolutely understand how you feel about the rent increase. I have slowly watched almost every one of our bills increase over the last 3 months. I mean everything increased, Car insurance, pest control, mortgage, and of course the utilities are going to automatically increase because it is summer. We are making it but definitely no vacation this summer everything costs too much.😢
I hear you on that. We haven’t been on a vacation for the past couple years now. I’m itching for one too but with everything being so expensive, I don’t want to be irresponsible.

Sucks it's increasing, but my guess is taxes and insurance are going up for your landlord. I'm glad she was able to knock it down a little bit. Our mortgage potentially goes up every year due to taxes and insurance, too. Love the cash trays. 💜
Yeah, I think she said the property taxes doubled or something crazy like that.
@DaisyBudgets I'm nervous to see if ours will change. Our property value went up, so I'm sure taxes will too. Thankfully, I have a sinking fund that hopefully covers part of it. Though we are building a large garage on our property so that probably won't help. Lol.

My lease should be renewed next month and it worries me she's gonna increase my rent. I'm just getting by right now on a fixed income. I won't know till next month unless she waits and my lease then becomes month to month and I don't want that. I'm glad she negotiated with you....hey $25 is $25 saved. I was notified at the beginning of this may that my rent is going up as well. I was not happy at all. I’ve hit a rough patch in my life. Am frustrated, depressed,stressed and worried all in one. Currently my job in hanging in the air and won’t know anything until end of next month… I had to recently empty one of my binders to cover some expenses. Now I got to start completely over. I just don’t know what to think anymore.
Sorry you’re going through all of that. But don’t lose hope. Just keep going and it’s OK if you have to start all over again. It happens to all of us. Life is lifeling. Stay strong. 💕

Great video and I hate that landlords can just up the rent when ever they want how much they want, they don't take into consideration the fact that just like you guys do we also pay our rent early and we take very good care of the house and property just so annoying 😔 but have a blessed day 💜
It’s tough, a lot of people are struggling. I feel so bad for those who are worse off. Like those living paycheck to paycheck. I’m just grateful that financially We are doing OK right now.
We actually live in New York and as you already know the cost of living is crazy, we have considered moving but feel like it's bad everywhere, we have actually talked about moving back home to Puerto Rico 🤷🏼♀️

💜 Some unsolicited advice, I know rent going up is shocking and a $100 is kinda steep, but homeownership is costly as well, so weigh your options. Consider 10-20% of your mortgage annually in maintenance cost and ever growing escrow on the annual, sometimes I hate owning my home… 💜
I totally get it. Renters and homeowners alike, we are all just trying to survive.

Where I am there is no limit to rent ncreases andeveryone I know has gone up 30+ % I would say less than 10% is good. (Rule of thumb when I rented, plan on 10% increase in case.
Everything is going up. The price for just existing is insane.

I did. I used to live in New York and now I live in North Carolina. I was searching other rental properties out here and honestly, I found a lot that were more expensive than what I pay now and not even half as nice. With that said, I think I’ll stay put.
