The thing is most showmen come from families who have been in the business over 100 years or more and have got all there relatives working for them unfortunately the carters didn’t have that so probably suffered with staff issues at least they gave it a good go and brought so much enjoyment to families young and old there lorries and rides are missed on the touring circuit ❤
It was an open weekend selling off some of the merchandise stocks before the rest goes to auction. www.carterssteamfair.co.uk/ there's a few details about it on their website.
Sad, sad, sad. Showmen are not business men. Joby and Anne really needed to think about how to keep such a unique product desirable. Reach, they should have considered the limitations of the current ride reach and thought about how they could have bought such a unique experience to the masses rather than a few within an arms reach. This can be fixed and be kept alive! The fact a couple of years has passed since carters called it a day, should be a wake up call, if the brand owners have no faith in their product, how can anyone else?
Visited a carters ground a good few years ago. There was a ground up the road starving. Carters were smashing it.
