    It's a really great video and well explained man! Just wanted to check if there is an issue with the volume.. It becomes really low for me around the 9:30 mark.

      Yes yes. I didn't know how to process audio and amplify the sound. I have now learnt it. The videos after this will have quality loud sound.
      But thanks for bearing 😀

    Great video, thanks for detailed information. Hermes is their other internal grown solution for service discovery which they’re moving out from. There’s a CNCF video around this migration.

    Thanks for video. I have one query, what that bug in gPRC library has to do with this outage?

    • @AsliEngineering
      @AsliEngineering  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The gRPC bug did not cause the outage. If gRPC would have handled and passed the error Traffic Director could have handled it well and retried. Because the error was not wrapped properly, the Traffic Director picked the default "Not Found" instead of "Unavailable".
      It is more around handling specific types of error gracefully while going with the default flow for the rest.

    • @NikunjGupta9
      @NikunjGupta9 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AsliEngineering I see, I understand that part errors need to be properly wrapped. So are you saying if gPRC bug was not there, Traffic Director might have retried leading to no outage. Btw I am liking the contents you are sharing on TH-cam and LinkedIn 😊

    • @AsliEngineering
      @AsliEngineering  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@NikunjGupta9 Complete avoidance may be no; but the outage duration would have been way lesser. We would have definitely seen a degraded performance.
