These people who are celebrating with the Christians are not believers in the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. They want the third temple built so their messiah can appear. It's made clear in scripture that our bodies are the third temple. He lives in us. We should teach them of the grace and mercy of Christ and the wonders on the One True God, The Father. If they were all believers in Christ, celebrating together that would truly be amazing.

They were God's chosen nation, but they refused to recognise Jesus as God's son. Has that now changed? They can be grafted back into spiritual Jerusalem but not as they are now.

the Christians celebrating the feast are celebrating something which has no place in the New Covenant dimension. the Jews mention of the Bible does not include the Gospel of Jesus and the new testament scriptures. this is not a celebration of Jesus and the advancement of His Kingdom. it is the celebration of a religion - Judaism and a nation- modern day Israel. one misunderstood Old Testament scripture is the matrix for all this: pray for the peace of Jerusalem Psalm 122. maybe these Christians haven't read the book of Hebrews especially chapter 12:18-23. this comment is not at all based on any antipathy to the wonderful land of Israel our Saviour's earthly birth place. But the apostles didn't encourage or teach any pilgrmaging to the so called Holy Land. There is no "christian Mecca".

This shows our Lord ready to lay His life down for mankind, now this feast of tabernacle, as the Greeks came inquiring to see Jesus, this could now show the return, if that makes sense, the reach to the gentiles could be coming to fulfillment

Afte almost five decades a believer and student of Holy Scripture, I'm just trying to see where the term Holy land was ever used in the New Testament or where the apostles of Messiah ever taught or encouraged the saints to make pilgrimages to Israel like Muslims to Mecca. Not even the Jews refer to Israel as the Holy land. This a construct of Christendom. The term Holy City is used in Revelation chapter 21 and 22 in context of the New Jerusalem which is analogous to the church as supported by Hebrews 12:22-23. The Feast of course makes for great history and culture tourism.
Gerard Benjamin It was always voluntary for those from outside of Israel (Exodus 12:48, Deuteronomy 16:14, Numbers 9:14, Deuteronomy 16:14). No judgement for non Jews that choose not to celebrate the feasts (Colossians 2:16-17).
@@arielshapiro3099 my case for its non-requirement on the part of believers was premised on the New Testament and the fact that the apostles actually refrained from encouraging the saints towards any such observances as Christian leaders are doing today. Paul was rightly refuting an imposition of Jewish holy days upon the church in Col.2:16. Besides even if non-Jews did voluntarily patronise the events during the old testament era, what significance would there be in present day Christians co- celebrating with Jews who still resolutely reject the Messiahship of Jesus? The significance of Tabernacles was already fulfilled in Christ just like Passover and Pentecost. Israel needs to hear the truth of the gospel that was preached on the day of Shavuot by Peter.
@@gerardbenjamin8272 Well, God has hardened their heart towards Jesus until the last gentile believes (Romans 11:25-29, John 1:11, Isaiah 53:3, Zechariah 12:10). It's good that Christians at least are kind and embrace them (John 4:22, Romans 11:11-24).
In the meantime, God wants to see what the nations will do with their talents for the kingdom while Jesus is away and they're in charge of the gospel (Matthew 25:14-30). Those that work for God in this life will be greatly rewarded (Revelation 5:9-10, 2 Timothy 2:12).
The festivals will have significance after Jesus returns (see Zechariah 14:1-5 followed by verses 16-21). But you're right, a temple and sacrificial system is needed to keep the festivals in the correct context today (Numbers 28 and 29).
