I strongly agree with you, there’s very few Irish language media that come with Irish subtitles, even though that would help learners immensely to be able to read what they hear.
Incredible to hear something that is not dead, but from a place where it is no longer alive but sounded fairly similar but different in subtle ways from how it is still spoken elsewhere. It's fascinating that he used "uathu" (or uafa) where they would tend to use "faoi" in Donegal.
níl a fhios agam cén dóigh ar tharla mé ar an suíomh seo ach blianta ó shin léigh mé leabhar faoi Padaí Láidir MacCuladh agus a shaol i dTír Eoghain. Buíochas as é a chur ar fáil.
The subtitles have a few errors. Like it says "loosing" for the word losing, and it says that where is should say who in some places. Just thought I'd point that out.
This helps me to understand Irish pronunciation and sentence construction better than any text book. Thanks!
How did i get here
It would be interesting if there were irish subtitles as well. I 've hardy found any irish language video with irish subtitles.
That would be too confusing and distracting for the video.

Thart faoi 2.30 agus ar aghaidh: 'Níl fios ar bith agam uafa', 'nil a fhios agam an dadaí uafa' agus ar eile. Tá sé sin spéisiúil.
