Meet "Little Homie," the name of the bus designed and built by Mike and Jenny. These two express the desire to help and support each other through a different way of living. After their kids moved out, they made their dream of the skoolie life come true. This build is exceptionally functional and well-thought-out with highly organized storage and an intricate electrical system. With a massive California King bed, ample storage, and a full bathroom, this DIY skoolie is luxurious. Mike and Jennie promote health and community, and it shows in their peaceful tiny home on wheels!

This bus conversion really does look like an apartment on wheels! How many of you are considering a bus conversion?

I'm looking for a 4 window, possibly a 5 window short bus and see what I can create.

Too bad there is nothing about the bus they started out with, or the build, just the result
This is definitely an apartment on wheels. Believe you me, its larger than a lot of apartments in cities like NY where apartments are miniscule. Most New Yorkers for instance, can't have a washing machine in their apartments because their apartments are so small. These folks basically have everything, living room, separate kitchen, shelving galore and large bed. I would not feel confined in such a sizable bus conversion. It's also very nicely decorated.
This is absolutely the most beautiful bus conversion that I’ve seen. I’ve seriously looked at dozens and this one is the one that looks most like a home and not a project. Bad thing is now since I’ve seen this one I won’t settle for anything less than this one, which to me is perfection. Thanks for sharing this amazing home with us.

it's NOT a Skoolie, but rather more the size of a Class A. RV !!! Yes, they did Do Beautiful Cabinetry work + layout !
My Fave: the Hexagonal ENTRY dividing the Pilot's cabin from the l/r.
BUT, how many folks can REALLY afford THE GA$$ BILL to drive this thing ?

Modest Home Tour! This is a sweet video, you have a Beautiful Bus! I enjoyed the humble approach to describe your work and craftsmanship! Your wife's Design of interior is warm and cozy! They absolutely nailed this design! Usually I can pick out at least one or two things where I think it *would* be perfect if this or that, but.. this one is perfect imo. I know he said he still has upgrading/modifying to do, but that's one of the best Skoolies I've seen!
I love how bright and uncluttered this build is. I can't wait to follow ya'll.
One of the goals with the build was to keep it as open as possible. I wanted to build upper cabinets for storage, but the storage had to first be justifiably. Basically, what and why would I be building uppers? Did I already have stuff to put in them or would I be building them just to find things to buy and fill them up ?
I love how humbly knowledgeable and skilled he is about all that this required to build and run.

Why not learn to do it yourself? After a certain age, you're almost guaranteed to remain single if youre female, but based on a lot of what's out there, it's no big loss, really...

I'm in my mid 60's and began commercial bus driving when I turned 19. I absolutely Love driving busses. I also drove school busses at 19. It was totally rewarding.
I was disabled on the job many years ago so was no longer able to drive commercially after that. I miss it horribly. 😪 I am determined to buy a full size bus and make it my own soon.
I love all the ideas I'm seeing on TH-cam.
When it comes to additional power it's better to have it and not need it, then to need it and not have. I love your bus. It looks peaceful and beautiful.

This is by far the best. Ive watched the schoolie palooza tours and the auden kitchen ive never seen, except in a tiny home. Not a bus. This is also 1 of 3 videos that actually has a vanity with storage and such a nice flow. With an actual shower that isnt 24in alll around. You made room for a massive bed. And still have walk room. Bravo!! I want one lol

Gorgeous and very livable. Shower was awesome. Toilet room same. Bedroom so much storage. Kitchen and living room very comfy and homey. All in all I really liked it.

This is one of my favourites by far. I have seen a lot of schoolies, bus, van and THOW. So much of this build is my taste. I, too am an empty nester and am trying to convince my stubborn partner that this is the way to go. I am slowly widdling him down. Haha. Love everything about this. Being off grid is what I want. Thank you for sharing.
Jenny started planting seeds with TH-cam an a constant roll of tiny homes and skoolies 10months later we were living in one😂.

What a lovely home. You really don't need a huge house to be comfy safe and happy. Just enough room for your favorite things a shower potty a room to sleep a living space to eat work from home a kitchen. Again lovely space. I so hope you find a place you love and can sit down some roots. So you can have a garden and some out side stuff. Maybe a tiny pool. Who knows what the future will bring. At least with bad weather you can pick up and go for the time being. Lol. Enjoy and be safe.

Both were an Amazon purchase. We prefer to shop locally, but our build was done after shut down and the stores were pretty well wiped out (along with prices being marked up 3x on some things).

I am here because I am looking for a design! This gives me a good idea and how my future tiny house approximately this size ('though that is not a bus) could look like and feel. Any dumpster at a construction site is often fair game. Hunt around alleys. Rich people often have great "trash." Home Depot also has lots of wood scraps.
