    missing directions on knitting the heel. How did you connect the ends? hard to follow your pattern.

      That is why it is important to have written patterns, otherwise it is easy to forget details when explaining. Also, terminology and technique often varies a bit between knitters and the video can be slightly off from the subtitles. I am writing down the steps given, then physically attempting to do them as I follow the video, and using a bit of experience to see what she is attempting to accomplish with the shaping, but it would be really hard for new knitters to do that. I may not get everything exact, but so far pretty close. To me these patterns are worth the effort.

    What does slip the selvages mean on step 5:55?

      Selvage is the stitch on the edge, skipping it gives you a neater finish
