Wow is what so serene watching your time at campsite. Felt like I was there with you. It was interesting that you did not feel the need for chatter or banter. It was soothing just to sit with you. Thank you
sometimes it's nicer to watch vlogs that are silent only learning what you see and it's more absorbed by the brain. Sometimes I feel lucky to be in a tropical country. To I admire your braveness living in a vehicle. Stay safe and God bless
Heater outside ducted in is a great idea ..u have a video on what your heat source is and how you built it. You've got some terrifically fabulous ideas.
Do you have a video on what you used for the window. And how your set it up on the wood. I am assuming you have the bin insulated. Would love to see a video on how you did this. You are awesomeb
Just had to comment. You are a truly inspirational person. Really amazed by your diesel heating system - genius. What is your background knowledge - science/engineering - as you appear to find solutions to many areas that any normal person would struggle with. Thanks for a thoroughly entertaining channel. Stay safe.
This is the first time I've watched your video. And I enjoyed it. I love your van set up. So simple yet it seems you have all the basic necessities of a camper. This is also the first time I've seen a heating system that way. But I guess it's better than propane right? I look forward to seeing more of your videos.

Lovely video. Love your whole channel! Get that knife sharpened soon, my dear, before it slips off what its supposed to be cutting and gets your fingers.
I love your minivan setup; so simple and clean. I used to camp in a Dodge Caravan until the transmission gave out. I may get another one when (if ever) my Tacoma gives up the ghost. Also, thanks for making two of my favorite types of videos in one: ASMR and van life.
@Minivan Camper Gal Yes, I do. I have a camper shell on the back. If I'm in a spot for more than a few days, I set up my 10 by 10 canvas tent. Of course, a pickup truck makes stealth camping difficult, but boondocking so much fun.
I enjoyed watching your minivan camping video. It was very peaceful and interesting. I camp part-time as well, but haven't started a TH-cam channel yet. I hope to do that in the future. Anyway, I have subscribed to your channel. Take care.
Hey Bonnie! I think it's about as good as it can be. If I rinse off too many dishes, (rice cooker especially,) the water gets really stinky really fast. I wish I didn't have to be so involved with the dumping of the icky water, but... eh, other than indoor plumbing, I think that's something that won't go away! I think I'll probably change out my bucket soon and get a new clean one - so that's a plus that it will be easy and cheap to get a new one.
Hello! Thanks for watching. I'm just a part-timer. I have a house, but I usually leave for the summers, and as much as I can during the other parts of the year.
Hi, I like to cook too so I was wondering what were some of the ingredients you used, other than the obvious lol. And do you plan on making any more cooking videos? I enjoy watching your videos and following your journey. Be safe out there mam.
❤️⛺❤️ Where did you get the tofu? What brand? I am looking forward to being able to go camping soon. I tent camp now, but I just purchased a used Honda Odyssey van.
Hey Kathy! You can get tofu at just about any grocery store. It's usually near the produce section. I don't have a particular brand I use. Congrats on your new van!
I am not a van dweller at 70 yrs. of age but just curious as to why you went with a diesel heater instead of a small electric heater. It would take up allot less space in the van.
Hi Rita! It's never too late! Electric heaters are really difficult to power - it's amazing how much power they use. I can run this for probably 2 days straight, where as an electric heater I would only be able to run for about an hour. Thanks for watching!
I feel like u might be a Virgo. Am I right? Regarding the heater vent from your window, why not use a ‘Y’ connection? That way, you’d get heat to the top & bottom of your van. Just an idea⭐️
Thank you for the peace and quiet of your videos. Just watching is enough to enjoy your van camping experience. Music in the background is so unnecessary and is distracting for me. I don't need to be entertained by music everywhere I go. All the stores and supermarkets play music knowing it increases sales and that is manipulative, and not nice. So thank you again for just a pleasant video to watch without feeling the need to fill the quiet spaces.
I got a peaceful easy feeling just being with you ~ so quiet so serene ~ perfectly equipped perfectly planned ~ my kinda woman ~ you give great advice for travel in my Gypsy Van ~ loved the mountains too ~ I think I must love you 🎶💜🧚🏻♀️🕉🕊🤍🕯👋🏻
Here is my jerry-rigged setup in my pickup cab I used down to 12 degrees in Tahoe couple days ago. th-cam.com/video/9gkZB9BZQUk/w-d-xo.html After reading one of your comments the 2nd night (Saturday) I added the 2nd hose for the inlet. 2nd night vid w/ interior temps th-cam.com/video/I4ab7C9XapQ/w-d-xo.html
1st couple hours (went to sleep at 5:30pm) were alright and then it got cold but berable. A few things need to be done to make it warm (60F) w/lows in the teens or below... insulate the windows and interiors of the doors, and the floor/roof. I'm thinking of switching to a lead acid batt because keeping our lithium batts on the floor of our cars at lower than 40degrees is probably not good for them.
@@minivancampergal1554 Thanks, for the heads up. As I was surprised with the sudden change. TH-cam must be trying to push subscribers to sign up for Ads Free program.
Sorry! I have to call bullshit. Do you all know what the inside of that car would smell like with the diesel heater and fuel container in side. Sure she travels all over with that smell in her van.
Hello! Yes, I travel all the time with it. I put tape over the little vent hole of the fuel tank when I'm driving. I can smell a bit of fuel when I change altitude, but other than that, I don't ever have any fumes.

You seem to be really organized, a minimalist as you desire, a woman capable of knowing how to take care of yourself. I too love my independence.

for how many hours does it have a heater?
Hello! I haven't tested it, but at least 2 full days, probably 3. And you can always just fill it up with more diesel.
🙏🏻
Nice video, but I can’t help wondering why you use such a giant frying pan? I assume you are not a full timer?
Thanks! The frying pan isn’t that big actually, but I’ve since switched to a ridgemonkey and use that the most now.
What wax the piece that you put in the window for the heater
It’s a piece of styrofoam insulation that I cut to fit.
I am not a van dweller at 70 yrs. of age but just curious as to why you went with a diesel heater instead of a small electric heater. It would take up allot less space in the van.

Aren’t you concerning somebody might try to steal your diesel heater while you’re asleep?
