With the release of Stardew Valley 1.6 its time for 10 amazing Stardew valley 1.6 tips and to take a look at how we can use the new features to or advantage. In this video I will be showing some amazing tips that will change the way you can play the game for better progression.

@@nervousbreakdowns based on 1.5's, probably around 2 months but idk for sure, CA didn't say anything yet (let's hope for our mobile friends they don't have to wait a few years again)
@@CharaDreemurr_TheyThemonly I know, it was claimed things should take not as long as last time, but as member of PC master race, I personally dont seek news specifically on console/phone version progress

Rather than putting random fences in your pens to keep the grass, you could either plant the grass under the perimeter or place lightning rods on top of the grass. Or better yet, both!
Seconding the recommendation of lightning rods, especially since you'll want to be walking over to your coop every day anyway, so it streamlines the trip (and makes sure you don't forget to clear out your batteries from the rods when they're ready, a mistake I've lost several crops to in the past).
I would put mine under light sources, so it was a bit more aesthetic and easier to replace before I got the wintergrass mod. Having to redo all the fencing around the pen every spring was tedious.
It cannot be overstated how unbelievably powerful stardrop tea is for friendship building. I took Sandy from no hearts to max hearts in exactly one visit (her birthday): first an iridium rabbit's foot and then two stardrop teas. Boom, done. 🤯
Fun fact mushroom logs + mystic trees with heavy toppers will get you more money then ancient fruit

@@MellowGirl2000 you can also picked mushrooms and because they are around mystic trees the mushroom logs will produce purple mushrooms more often then not

it is EXTREMLY easy to find now :D had both in only 3 days of ginger island on my 1.6 save
I sold my first snake vertebrae then uses cheat on a chicken after. 😂
YES! The Snake Vertebrae and the final recipes from queen of sauce were the last hurdles on my perfection run, and it took me FOREVER to get them! This update fixes both those issues at once!

Ok, the mushroom logs are really interesting. Being able to control what kind of mushroom you can get AND improve the quantity/quality is really interesting...
Add a Squid fishpond and you get ink so you can make seafoam pudding. Even more fishing buff
In my experience the fish jellies ain't super rare, i have caught 3 in a single day a couple times, and they do seem to be more commen on good luck days so it shouldnt be that much of an issue to get plenty of fish smokers
I don't put fences, I put hay bales or lightning rods, they don't decay. I don't see why you would want the mushroom log to make red mushrooms, you can't dehydrate them. For the red items Qi quest maybe? Thanks for your video! I went and upgraded my pan as soon as I saw your thumbnail!
i’m so impatient i actually bought stardew for my computer so i could play the update when it came out 😭 i’m a switch player but tbh i might fully switch to pc gaming, it’s been a great experience so far

I did the same. I found it quite hard to get used to using a keyboard and mouse. Makes you realise how strange the controls are sometimes. Almost got my golden clock, so I've gotten quite far.
@@darkshibe2267 ooooo proud of you with the golden clock progress! and yes it was definitely a change to switch to keyboard and mouse 🥹 tried a day without a mouse and just using control + click to right click…. that was hell i invested so fast in a mouse hahahaha i almost prefer it now. also is there still no console release date cuz i think i def made the right call getting pc version

jellies from ponds are fine for sure, as you also need flounder and midnight carp for seafoam pudding and lava eel is best pond farmable fish as far I know

I think fish smokers as early game money might be overestimated, but may be wrong. The issue is the coal... but if you open the quarry early I could see it maybe.
Yes coal is a big decider early one if you plan on using a lot of items like smokers and furnaces but farming dust sprites and using recycling machines can help with the demand I find :D

To add onto that panning tip, I got six Iridium ore right after I finally unlocked panning, so imagine how many goodies you could get at the max enhancement..

It actually only takes overnight for the dehydrator. I always put items in just before sleeping and its done when waking up. So it does not actually take a whole day in game.
What fish ponds would be good to get the jellies?

with the pan changes I've gotten 4 lucky rings now and in all my other files I've never gotten a lucky ring before let alone 4 of them lol

Question: if you get the iridium Scythe before you get the golden scythe, does it change it to gold???
They are separate items, it just gives you a new scythe.

Search the stardew valley wiki on Google to make your journeys on the farm easier!! Lots of tips & info there
You can get a fish smoker within the first 15 days and you never need more than 2 of them until you start using ponds. Everyone is over thinking this. Bring your smokers with you while you fish and put the fish you catch into the smoker. I make 100k in the first month rushing to floor 60 catching the cave slime and then just dumping money into coal and starting the cycle. Put the smokers next to you fish a fish. Put a fish in and repeat. This is only limited by the coal you have and you will be 10 fishing before summer and getting iridium fish and never end up without money.
