  • 🌌 How Accurate is the Sol System in Starfield? | Real-Life vs. Game Comparison 🪐
    Dive deep with us as we explore Starfield's rendition of the Sol System and compare it to the real-world wonders of our cosmos. How well has Starfield replicated the intricacies of space as we understand it?
    🔍 What We'll Cover:
    An overview of the Sol System: Home to a G-type Main-Sequence star, also known as a yellow dwarf.
    A detailed look at the planets: From Mercury to Neptune, and including Pluto, which is considered a dwarf planet in real life.
    Moons galore: With a whopping 290 moons in real life, how does Starfield's 20 compare?
    Starfield offers a unique take, with nine planets and no distinction between planets and dwarf planets. Plus, the mysterious star at the center, which seems to mirror our own in size and hue.
    Join us for a cosmic journey as we delve into the accuracy and artistic choices behind one of the most anticipated games, and see how the creators of Starfield envision our very own celestial neighborhood. 🚀

    For Earth, Bethesda made the odd choice to not use a topographical map of geographical features. Instead, they chose to use the procedural generation engine. So strange to go to roughly where the Sierra Mountains should be, only to find a flat surface.

      I agree. I think even a rough topographical map would have been a much better way to go. Maybe someone will mod it.

    They clearly did put more effort into this system than the others. It has the most celestial bodies by far. Probably just because it's the only system we know that much about.

      Yeah, it makes sense, but it does make the rest of the settled systems feel a bit incongruous.

      Fr Mars the only planet I’ve seen so far with deformed moons kinda seems like the rest are copy pasted

      Apparently the Sol system is abnormal compared to most star systems, where it has far more planets than most.

    It's funny, given the size of the game, you spend most of your time in just a couple systems.

      Yeah, the Sol System, Alpha Centauri, Cheyenne, Kryx, that's honestly it for me. I know the system with Neon in it is also visited a fair amount, but for me, not as much as those ones.

    I was just thinking that the gravity well lines are so cool.

      I just really appreciate them, given they don't make a gameplay difference, so they are just a visual detail added for fun.

    Great video. I enjoyed your thoughts on this topic. I was actually wondering how accurate it was.

    A size difference that bothers me is that Ganymede is shown smaller than Mercury and Pluto despite being larger than both planets. Also Io is the most volcanically active moon in our Solar system but lacks any resemblance in the game.

    @2:11 😂... @2:23 backout to the galaxy view and hover over the star. It shows its info there... But agreed would be nice to have when zoomed into the system view too

      You are correct. I had to double check because i wasn't sure, but yeah, you can only tell from the galaxy view.

    I'm sorry, Nico, but astronomers renamed Uranus in 2620 to end that stupid joke once and for all..

    Think your issue with Mars is explained away as it was a Mining Outpost prior to Earth's fall that became a colony.
    I could be wrong, but why they never put a new base on Earth later on is never talked about that I know of.
    Maybe Earth is considered a "holy land" of sorts, so most wouldn't think of doing it. Or it's just been outlawed to hide it's "secrets"...

    It sucks that they didn't put more work into Earth.

      I agree. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me that the world is an empty barren wasteland. Why aren't there underground facilities? Why are all the buildings gone? Why aren't there mountains anymore?

    Lol, just missed the amount of moons. By like over a hundred moons, lol.

    • @Dare_To_Game
      @Dare_To_Game  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, it's not even close. Most people don't know how many moons our system has.

    • @Fuar11
      @Fuar11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Most of those moons are just giant asteroids. They are like deimos and phobos. You wouldn't really be able to land on them

    Imagine if they added ALL the moons in the game.. the game would have been releasing in 2032 or something.
