Such an interesting video with real-world usage and so much experience going into this, as you do not only review such things for some days and then test the next thing. This makes it really valuable for people who do use their devices and plan on using them for years to come. You also make it really easy to understand why some things work for you and others don't and how that would translate to my own usage.
    Thank you!

Nice video. I’m a Remarkable 2 user so I appreciate your perspective on RM2. I also agree as I have a Supernote A5X and although I agree with the robust writing tools of the Supernote, I have continue to use my RM2. I use the type folio as my case but I don’t really use it and to overcome the add a page function, I actually created my own Notebook in adobe and I don’t really use their notebook options.

I looked at the ReMarkable 2 for ages (As somebody who has always used Inking devices such as tablets since the Windows 7 days, iPads, Surface Pro etc.). I just couldn’t get on board with the price when I already have a ton of expensive devices like iPad Pros and Surface Pro’s so I went for the Scribe which I’m excited to receive today - I do think the ReMarkable looks like a nicer form factor, but I also feel like they need to rely on paid cloud syncing where as, as much as I hate it, Amazon don’t need to compete in that space as they don’t need the money.
Have you used multiple other devices alongside your RM2? I’m still unsure how exactly I’ll fit the Scribe in with my other devices as data is going to end up all over the place - Right now I use OneNote for my long term (mostly typed/pasted) project notes etc. and I use Apple Notes for daily stuff that probably won’t even all be kept - So I feel like the Scribe for me will replace the Apple notes usage, it would have been RM2 if I could justify the price

Fun video. It made all the tools interesting to know about - I'd never heard of the last two Alphastrikes? I've heard for writing that it is really helpful to not have a screen at all and just free-write blind. Then later come back and form/fix the writing. I've only seen one app that was good for that sort of method.

Yes, the Alphasmarts. A lot of writers love them for just that reason!

Thank you for your reviews, they are very near our real life concerns !
But still, I just can't make my choice... may be you can help !
I would like to buy a 10.3 e-ink screen for note taking ( I work with people and I want to have their files on a tablet and quit paper.
I do have an old kobo Aura one which I loved for books reading ( it is a 300ppi screen )
    I have spotted 3 tablets :
The boox note air 3 ( only 227 ppi and I am afraid I might see the difference so I take it off from my list )
The boox note air 3C : I am afraid of a lower battery experience because of the light needs
the Supernote A5X2 : not ready yet but soon
    > I want the tablet to be able to use the kindle app at least - I don't plan to use it as a classical tablet : only writing and reading.
    > I will use it mainly for note taking and I want to be able to highlight important points, create my personal templates, add several pages (with different templates) to one document.
    > I want to be able to export my documents to my computer if needed
    > I have seen that on the note book air 3 , there are 4 b&w colors that are "tagged" as blue, white, red or green : I understood that transfered on a color device ( my computer) the colors will be recognized : right ?
I don't think the Supernote does this ?
    > I need a security like finger prints to secure that no-one else can access to the screen and read the confidential notes about my clients.
I also have a difficulty to select the "writing experince" I will prefer... I love writing with a very good (medium to large ) ballpoint pen on classic paper. I also loved the experience of writing on an Econotes book : I think I would like a fluid writing feeling with a pencil that glides along smoothly.
Nb: I hate writing on the Ipad : it is a lot too rigid and I feel a lot too much the glass screen
So I hesitate between the note air 3C and the A5X2 (which is not ready yet) , may be you can give me your advice ?
Thank you for all the different reviews, It is very helpfull !
All my wishes for 2924 !

If you need fingerprint-level security, the Note Air3C is the only one of those. Supernote lets you set up a passcode. Based on your use case and preferences expressed here, I think you'd love the Supernote and I don't think it will be too long before it comes out. The big bonus feature with them is they are active on the Reddit board (like people from the company post there) and they have clear roadmap of where they're going, and focus on software improvements vs releasing a lot of new hardware every year like Boox.

@@enriquediaz7547 the iPad in the video is the iPad Pro first generation and I also have an Apple Pencil that works with it and the paper like film I have on it. I’ve used that quite a bit over the years but it’s all on its last leg and I prefer working in eink when I can.

@@enriquediaz7547I’ve got a 2018 11” iPad Pro, and 12.9” M2 iPad Pro but just ordered a Scribe that’s arriving today - How have you found the scribe in comparison since you got it? I don’t / won’t use paper like screen protectors on my iPad Pro personally - Tried the paper like in the past and just preferred to get used to writing on glass.
Really looking forward to seeing how the scribe feels to write on - Although I am used to writing on glass on an iPad (and Surface Pro over the years) I am getting the scribe for the lack of distractions and the feel closer to pen on paper.
I think I’ll still use my iPad Pro and Surface Pro 9 for certain things, but expect the Scribe to hold all my day to day notes before I transfer the important information into OneNote, or Task Managers etc.

The Traveler is a glossy nightmare. Why would you make your most portable device the one that requires white gloves to keep nice?
