Grand Brissen Hotel Adult Hot Spring Trip-Hokkaido Jozankei Onsen

I stayed at the Grand Brissen Hotel Sadayamakei, which just opened on July 1, 2021, so I will report in detail. This hotel is located in Jozankei, which is said to be the Okuzashiki in Sapporo, Hokkaido. The lobby is glass-walled and has a good view of the outside. It has a gold leaf tea room and a warm library. More than 200 paintings are displayed and the furniture is luxurious. It's like a museum. Of the 68 rooms, 58 have an observation bath. All rooms face the valley side. The meal boasts roast beef using rib roast of Tokachi herb beef. It is soft and has an exquisite ratio of redness and fat. Of course, the large communal bath is Izumi Hara. The view from the open-air bath is superb. It was a new and comfortable luxury hot spring hotel.

定山渓は自宅からあまりに近いので、宿泊は考えた事がありませんでしたが、良さそうなホテルですね。
特に朝食が内容、品数共にとても気に入りました。

コメントありがとうございます。定山渓は久々に行きましたがとても楽しいところですね。特にネイチャールミナリエは、感動しました。10月20日までなので間に合うようなら是非ご覧になってください。10月はPM6：00～9：00までなのですがホテルの食事時間が2部制なのでできればPM5:30を選んだ方がゆっくり鑑賞できると思います。観光の様子は9月3日にアップしますのでよろしければご覧になってください！

返信ありがとうございます。また遅くなりました。定山渓温泉は「そういえばあるな」という感覚でしたが、2～3年前から「定山渓はいいな」となりました。大都会札幌なのに山奥感(一応南区なんですよね)、そして札幌市内の自宅から1時間弱と冬場でも気軽に行く事ができるので。緊急事態宣言が出され中々行く事ができませんが。宿泊する日までは解除できるよう、祈るだけです。

先日泊まりましたが、２人で行くホテルですね。３人以上だと、ベッドが二つしかないので窮屈です

一台に二人が基本らしく、対応が面倒くさそうだったので、ソファーで、寝ました。家族旅行では、泊まらないほうが絶対いいです

I don't recommend this hotel. The service was hell. The hotel bus from Sapporo station stops service after 4pm. You have to take expensive Taxi or super crowded public bus. The hotel does not provide bus to sapporo station!!! When we inquired one day before check out, the staff did not tell us that there is a public rapid bus and you need to book one day in advance, otherwise everyone just refused you to be on board even though the bus was empty. Really like you were meeting a bunch of cold-blooded robots.

When did you stay there?
It is true that there have been harsh comments about the staff's response when the restaurant first opened. We stayed there when it just opened, so I remember that the staff wasn't very responsive. I hope it improves gradually, but if it doesn't, I don't think I can recommend it.
The staff at Kasho Gyoen, which is affiliated with the hotel, was very responsive.

Moreover, the hotel refused to offer dinner after 7pm although it was in the contract and the closing hour of the its restaurant is 9pm.

I'm sorry that you have had so many unpleasant experiences.
As for dinner, I remember that there were two shifts, one from 5:30 p.m. and one from 7 p.m. The closing time of the restaurant at 9:00 is probably the time when you finish eating your meal. Most Japanese inns and hot spring hotels have a system where you can choose the time when your meal starts. Many inns will accommodate ingredients you don't like or have allergies to, so it's a good idea to inquire with the hotel in advance about times and ingredients.
