- Pope Francis lands in New York City for 2nd stop on US trip; his agenda includes UN address.
At about 5:45 p.m. the Pope was expected to arrive at St. Patrick's Cathedral where he will meet Gov. Andrew Cuomo and New York Mayor Bill de Blasio.
I've been to NY twice to run the marathon. On both occasions I missed visiting St Patrick NY and I promise I'll be there for the church b4 I die...................Peace be upon every single being on this earth...................

I wrote to pope francis several times and i asked for a bible, bit they didnt send me one. I really wanted a blessed bible to pray out of but theybdidnt send it to me. Instead, they sent me rosary beads along with a letter saying well pray for youre illnesses. I bet he didnt even read my note. Im not getting any better, im getting worse. Pope Francis is a figure I want to meet one day. I once mentioned the need for a visit to my hometown in my 6th grade Historical Research Paper.
brother! the cantor and the choirmaster and choir need to have a serious talk. i am an episcopalian, and i was dumb-founded how poorly they sang chant and psalmody. to make things even worse, the cantor obviously can't count, nor does he speak english well enough to be the cantor. it was very disappointing, especially, coming from a cathedral of its size.
The Episcopalians sure can sing.
I remember seeing on Utube a Church of England youth choir singing as guests in St Peter's in Rome.

The cantor is off because he is at the opposite side of the cathedral which is huge. That was a bad idea especially knowing the choirs singing level. In person the difference in timing may not be too noticeable.

I just watched a video of the Pope's entire speech at St. Patrick's, and the clip of it in this video appears to have been spliced together with a speech he gave at another time during his visit. or else the video was deliberately tampered with, because a long portion of his speech was a prayer that was not translated for the audience, and I never heard a translation of anything he said at St. Patrick's that follows this critic's video clip. .
Also, in the clip that appears to have been added here, the Pope did say that Christ's life - in HUMAN terms - was a failure, since it ended with execution on the Cross. But I am guessing that He finished by saying that - in spiritual terms - the crucifixion of Christ was a great success, offering all mankind salvation through His shed blood.
I don't like this Pope any more than I like anyone else who thinks they can say they are Christ's Stand-In on Earth. But we should not misrepresent what he said since it is sinful.
