    That would be great for home security, specially on more remote areas.
    How about building one with a narrower beam (20 degrees?), remotely controlled and coupled to a security cam? (so one could control the rig from inside the house)

      First to comment and I bet you have YET to even buy these, let alone put 'em on your truck. BFD, bud.

      These are great for a truck I got mine on amazon. Came in the 2nd day fast shipping. Love it. going to add a small boost converter to run it on low and the built in driver for on High beam but going to use a 150w boost converter in order to run it off 12v to 27.5v. Inefficient but that is what I have for now. can wait for the parabolic reflector!!!

    can you run several of these in series, can it run off of a 12v source such as wiring it to a car battery, can it withstand vibrations, and shock?

    Hello, I need a 100W (or more) LED light, the smaller the better. I went on the StratusLed website but it looks like they don't have the one in this video available anymore. Does anyone have some advice on where to look? Thank you very much in advance!

    Can't get mine to work... Got a 24v 6a power supply and one of them is flashing really fast almost like a strobe and the other one slowly, once a second... Can someone help me with that????

      is you battery charged? because it might be the battery voltage dropping too low and then the driver turning off because of low voltage, or because your batteries cant provide enough current

    Trying to mount on my mavic pro. I can tap out 12v from the power pack, but this is to low to power the driver. I found a step-up converter to bring the 12 to 24v at 5amps, but it seems kind of redundant to power the LED driver that powers the LED. I believe I could just find a step-up converter that would power the LED directly, but I don't know if this will work or what the LED voltage is. Does anyone know if this will work and if so what the LED voltage is??

    • @michaelschem3015
      @michaelschem3015 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup, this works. Got a 600w cc cv regulator. Tuned the voltage to 30v (not 24 like it says on the amazon page) and limited current to 7 amps. Hooked it up to my dji mavic battery by opening it up and soldering directly to the main leads and drilling holes to mount an external jack. The light seemed stable without the additional draw of the motors. I might have to turn down the current once the motors are running :/

    • @maxxiang8746
      @maxxiang8746 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      7 amps? pls dont go over 3 amps for 30 volt 100 watt leds, because they will not last long drawing 7 amps.

      Max Harper No. But you can use PWM from an arduino for example to dimm

      what about a triac? wanna use it on a bicycle like this vid. instagram.com/p/BSXqktvjicq/ I have 2x 100w led chips.

  • @francisdiy1
    @francisdiy1 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Those are 3$ led chips on ebay and a driver on ebay is like another 6 to 7 $ the lens another 2$ the heat sink I'm not sure I use a pc one around 10$ for a grand total of 22ish $ Canadian. I expected you would make a good profit but u looked at the prices on your website they are almost 200$... I mean I wish you all the best I hope you sell a lot but why not make something more simple like buying a bunch of the eBay parts for 22$ and putting them together and reeling for like 40$ you would make a good profit and sell way more.

    I don't get it. I'm sure there is a way to put a dimmer on that circuit... Anyone??

    • @JN.0_o
      @JN.0_o 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      It would be nice if there were separate fan and LED driver enable pins, that way a micro could turn on the fan and PWM the driver to control brightness. Or possibly a single enable line but with some turn off delay on the fan so that the PWM signal doesn't reach it.
