Hey Stu, i'm from Germany and a Bricklayer as well. I really enjoy your videos. Can't stop laughing, i recognized some of my working mates. Well, stay healthy and best regards from Germany. Stefan🙋♂️
Bricklayers put your Ego's aside, which one or two of them is you? comment " i am an ice cream man" i will start, "i am mr meticulous, i am a brick pecker and i am an ice cream man" lert me know if you would like to see more of this, thumbs up this comment. 😂
I am often catching myself being mr meticulous, too. Haha but in the end I have to go to sleep at night with the work I have done so theres nothing wrong about being a little extra perfectionist from time to time no matter what work you do. Also being this concentrated about my work often ends in doing the ice cream man.😂
With ego aside hands up to being a level tinker since my YTS apprenticeship days I always remember my tutor shouting Baker stop hitting your level !!!! I never learned in the end but 33 years on certainly a smooth operator 👌. . Good comedy sketch Stu very funny 😂 🏴
That’s very good.I’ve been a bricky nearly 30 years now and I’ve met most of the characters portrayed and a few more.Jimmy no tools and the ice cream character are the best.Good work mate.
I was wrong about you Stu. You can throw them down but you obviously choose not because you care about your work. You're a decent trowel and definitely a very good person. I appreciate you mate and all the videos you make. Hope the van performs as good as it looks. Cheers.
Hi Stu. Hope this makes you smile.... I am a sheetmetal worker ,fussy tight tolerance work 0.1/ 0.2mm . Fairly good eye for detail. I had tried using a trowel to build a small wall round the patio. Found I was getting more on my boots and surrounding area. So as an engineer thought right not having this. So I cut some strips of metal and welded them up into a rectangular frame which I placed on top of the row of bricks filled with the muck and lift of the frame . Tyres using a string for level but relied more on the level. I laid about 8 to 10 bricks every evening. Did finish it. Even put small garden light s in as I built it. The only 2 things that was not spot on was the wall curved slightly and the capping stones didn't stay cemented in place for long. . Like the piss take btw. Regards Don. PS ..you must of seen that Irish guy that invented the BRICKIE MATE, what's your thoughts about it ?.
Stu it's not the line twonger its the THE BANJO PLAYER! There's plenty of em! This was hilarious!! Ha ha ha tippin to the bank. You should have put the outtakes at the end of the vid, there's no way you kept a straight face throughout, probably about 20 reshoots hahah
Ice cream man made me laugh, saw a bloke decorating before and his tongue was following the direction of the roller, literally the funniest thing I've ever seen. He didn't need any lunch he'd be licking all the paint off the walls lol
Ice cream man!!! 🤣 worked with a tiler once who always looked like he was about to lick the adhesive up, he was known as Terry the Tongue... he also ate his sarnie like that at lunchtime, put me right off!
Haha stu loved it I definitely was Mr merticolous in my early days and I have no regrets about it levelled out into neater faster work now love your videos bud been watching for years your a top builder mate keep up the great work 👍
I've watched it 5 times over the day mate I still cant stop laughing it's funny as il share it with my mate hel understand fook the jealousy pal your a very skilled lad and I wouldn't mind betting that you learnt a lot off your dad growing up like myself top team good luck to you both marras
Funny video mate but your cavity filler was basically pic and dip done in correctly. I've been pick and dipping that way for almost a year now. Once you get the hang of it it's very efficient and a lot less work
Hello Stuart You and your dad are truly honest people and professional at all you do Always watch your building videos I would definitely hire you and your dad to build my house for me Take care Stuart
Used to have a proper ice cream man when I was at college 😂 whole workshop would stop and watch when he was jointing up. Cavity filling and line twonging have always been my downfalls 😂
hI Stu , you missed a couple of my favourites: Ice man : works like a tradesman possessed for a day then doesn't show up till pay day. Tap Tap: Leaves vertical trowel marks on the side of the every brick. Big Perp: spaces the brick to avoid cuts or 3/4' Tight Perp: cramps the bricks to avoid a cut.
That was hilarious Stu, laughed out loud. I think I’ve been all of them over the years, still got a few old serrated top levels where I’ve tapped them with the trowel, top stuff mate 👍✌️😂
Nothing worse than working with a guy with no or minimal tools who’s always asking “can I borrow your....” all day long. You wonder how they get as far as they have.
No tools guy is better then the guy whose bag is full of your tools at the end of the each day. You spend half the day looking for your jointer and it turns out the guy has 3 of your old ones as well as your new one. And then you spend the rest of your relationship wondering what else they have stolen from you.
Good video that stu, Tommy rock plenty of that about, site tough nuts, they normally trim the hi viz down and wear a skin tight t shirt makes you laugh 😂 😂
What about the ones sniffed out there heads all day constantly on the phone to the Mrs arguing
Spot on
Seen that all too often, they always come back from break with a new lease of life🤣
Stu please do more of these, maybe the types of labourer?
Sam Nutt oh Christ don’t do laboures I could write a bloody book on them
will do sam
Ye good one!
Yes please do laborers
Let's take a moment and appreciate that he redid that course of bricks for every type of brick layer...job well done.
I have been a bricklayer for 33 years. You NAILED IT. thanks for the laughs
Is it good Money good pay
I have been a bricklayer and bricklaying instructor for the past 17 years,... This video is 100% accurate 😄👍🏻
lol finch nice bit of fun
How high can you go on a wall in a day?
That's funny, I've actually gone through most of those stages in my journey
me too :)
While watching this video I learned my instructor taught me to be a line flicker as he is a line flicker himself
The meticulous ones are unheard of where I live
Too accurate Stu you’re going to give these lads a complex🤣
I do most of em, you sir are a legend, please help me 🤣
Hey Stu,
i'm from Germany and a Bricklayer as well.

Same guy that bullies hods so often that the company has given up on supplying labor and resorts to the mason hod.
I have been that guy....
Looks like you have 86 people that take themselves to seriously 😂

Tap Tap: Leaves vertical trowel marks on the side of the every brick.

Nothing worse than working with a guy with no or minimal tools who’s always asking “can I borrow your....” all day long. You wonder how they get as far as they have.
Nightmare mark
Coz of brickys like u lending them your tools
Funny stuff
No tools guy is better then the guy whose bag is full of your tools at the end of the each day. You spend half the day looking for your jointer and it turns out the guy has 3 of your old ones as well as your new one. And then you spend the rest of your relationship wondering what else they have stolen from you.
