Why are dealers so quick to sell to other dealers? Love the content but just don’t understand why Show dealers are moving so much inventory to CC2, Mojo and others at 70-75% comp. They aren’t making any money doing so (barely recovering their cost to acquire the same) and significantly diminishing their inventory at a great show with that looks like a lot of foot traffic. Just curious. Good video.
Sometimes it’s just better to move the card if you had it for a long time. Sometimes getting cash and moving it into another card. There’s a lot of factors. I’m sure there’s a lot of extra things we don’t see such as “dealers” saying no to his offers, but who wants to watch that? Also you don’t know how much that dealer is into the card for, might be a good come up as well.
Fair points. I think the problem is these deals will never show context (and i don’t know it, to be fair). You never know: how bad someone wants to sell, how long they’ve had inventory, how good/bad their weekend is going. Just a lot of unknowns. Cash is also king, and you can’t eat these cards. So holding out for 90%+ may sound good, but a guaranteed sale to someone who often buys more than one card can often be a win to many dealers.
@@cardcollector2 All fair points and thanks for the response. I really enjoy the videos and respect how professional you are to fellow dealers and collectors. Thanks.
Also I could be wrong but I feel like when people see these people with cameras and we’ll respected in the hobby they feel inclined to make a deal. Idk if I’m right just a theory
All good points as stated above by all. My guess is that Ryan has built relationships with these dealers after making many deals with them. They know where they need to be on their inventory and feel comfortable selling to Ryan in bulk. Win win for both imo.
I honestly can appreciate the no BS offers you do what makes sense for you and also the other person and it’s never one of those situations where anyone feels obligated because you’re a “TH-camr” but really you’re business owner first and TH-camr second so they respect your approach and you also talk things out with people like where you’re at and let them explain themselves in that same aspect nicely done man
As a North Carolina resident in my own home state suprising seeing a old school print type Steve Smith jersey in TX of all places that's not Mike Irvin or Dez Bryant or Ceedee Lamb...from a packer fan
I was gonna say that was my dolton Kincaid card that I sold to Curtis at the shop in alabaster I sold it for 25$ and you paid 30$ I just thought that was cool keep up the great work ryan
Love the videos, but one thing i honestly hate watching is how when you, CC2, are excited for a deal but the dealers are like, dead fish in water. Its as if they really dont care. I personally dont like watching Sports Card Investor that often, but at least hes excited about a deal he's working on. Some of these dudes are just so plain, that it really kills the hobby. Thats one reason i left. I get it that its a business, but at least make it enjoyable or seem like youre happy to do a deal 😂. Like make some eye contact geez haha. But CC2, youre doing great, haha.

Color Blasts are legit 🔥
That must have been an epic haul!
It must be fun to purchase the deals like you did there . Great video
Sometimes I pause the video and try to guess the price the sellers are gonna give him. It always feels good when I’m really close 😂
After saying this, I saw the 2nd and 3rd deal and was within $100 on both. Instincts are so important in being successful in the hobby.
