- Thanks to you guys for the month of September we were able to plant an incredible 3,680 trees with our music. That makes a new total of 36,080 trees planted with our album sales.
As a thank you we went out in the cold yesterday and shot a music video of one of our favorite classical pieces “Canon in D”.
Our fingers were a bit stiff but we really hope you enjoy our rendition.
All of our music is available at… www.markwhitelive.com
After watching your stunning performance of Hotel California earlier today I had to dig out more of your vids for a listen. Found this and wi-fi'd it through my hi fi system and played it LOUD . Have to tell you that my neighbour called round complaining , he said it wasn't loud enough and would I turn it up and play it again ! I did, it sounds truly awesome . We'd never heard of a Chapman Stick before, I think you've just acquired a new fan base in my neighborhood. Compliments from England 🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧
That just made my day! 😁
Thank you so much for sharing this little story with us! We’ll keep the music coming ♥️
I have never heard of this instrument but it is so, so beautiful. Love this!!!!!
There is still only 8000 Chapman sticks in the world and only 2000-3000 players.
I’m so glad you enjoy our music
🎶
A music made in Heaven... the best version.Thank you so much.GOD BLESS.
Truly beautiful and beautifully done together.
Glad you enjoyed it!
So beautiful, thank you so very much for sharing your beautiful music 🎶 God bless you both, safe travels
Thanks for listening
This blows away all of the guitar arrangements I've heard over the years.
Really glad you enjoyed it:)
I used to love listening to this by my grandson on the piano, now I have started trying to learn the harp so thank you for the inspiration.
You're very welcome! Keep on playing;)
Never seen or heard these Chapman Sticks.
But this is beautiful, magnetic music.
Unbelievable that this instrument has not gathered more attention.
Sounds a bit like Cembalo.
The Chapman stick has only been around since the 70s and so far only about 8000 have been made. They have never really made it into mainstream music and therefore are very unknown. But the potential is there, they are wonderful instruments.:)
@@Cascademelodiesyou are such wonderful musicians.
Pachelbels wunderbarer Canon in D Dur vor so traumhafter Kulisse in Szene gesetzt, einfach zum dahin schmelzen😊
Really glad you enjoyed our rendition:)
I did not know about the Chapman Sticks before I found your channel by the grace of the algorithm. So, the same algorithm brought to me a video made by Emmet Chapman himself some 15 years ago, explaining how he create the Stick and how it works. He put actually a lot of thinking into it, especially when it comes to tuning, and confessed that playing it is a real mental challenge. That explains why not a lot of musicians or bands are using it, even though is sounds amazing. You two seem to have no problems playing it. I see you have a 12-string, the darker wood, and a 10-string. I believe it also comes in an 8-string version.
The Chapman stick is still very unknown, but it is such a beautiful instrument.
You are right, not many musicians take on the challenge of learning the Chapman stick.
I think one of the problems is that there is hardly any teachers, or online courses and learning material available for the Chapman stick. that’s why we just posted our first beginners tutorial video. we are working on creating an online course to help people get started on the Chapman stick.
We both play the 12-string Grand Stick. The wood is just for looks and doesn’t make a difference in the sound.
😁 we prefer the grand in matched reciprocal tuning, it’s nice having those extra two strings.
@@Cascademelodies Thank you both for all your work and dedication. Sound, vibration frequency is the common language of the universe and has healing properties. I know musicians and I will recommend the Chapman stick and your videos.
@@CascademelodiesThank you both. GOD bless You
Awesome! The Canon in D is by far my all time hit! This version is awesome!
So glad you enjoyed our version:)
@@Cascademelodies Steffi and Mark, Sound of Silence just popped up and agaiin YEP! 😀
Major goosebumps listening to this!
One Chapman Stick sounds like a symphony. Two Chapman Sticks is a symphony squared!
Four hands at the same time can create a lot of music, we sometimes have to be careful to not make it sound cluttered😁
Beautiful 😍🥰. God bless you 🙏😘❤️👏👏👏🌹🌹🌹
Great performance!
Sublime. There’s something magical about the Chapman Sticks 😊. Greetings from New Zealand.
This is the most beautiful music ever!
What a nice compliment. Thank you

Les arbres sont le poumon de notre planète !... 🌿

This piece suits the 2 Chapman Sticks so well 😁
Ethereal and perfectly rendered.
First time I have ever seen this instrument and WOW !
There is still only about 8000 that exist in the world, so they are not very common:)
I am curious if the other 7998 are in museums? You both are amazing. ❤
This calms my heart so much!! You have been blessed by God with the soul of music! I hope you see Him in it!❤
Brilliant
Thanks!
I know it takes a lot of time and work & love! But you both have a gift from God.. ✌️❤️🙏🙏Thankyou very much

You're truly an inspiration and have enlightened me in musical possibilities, which drives me even more to go back to my music that I gave up over 40 years ago!😢😮 Play the music in your soul never stop playing and keep inspiring the world 🤟🤔😍💯‼️
A lot of my friends are right I’m glad we could inspire you a little bit. Music is our therapy. ♥️
@@Cascademelodies With the instrument that you play, I'm curious if you can shred since you play something different in the instrument world, then what is normally considered an accepted😳🤔⁉️
I first heard the Stick from a busker in Bournemouth, England 35 years ago. I was captivated and never forgot.
This is a beautiful take on a classic, the Stick plays it so well.
Mozart's Clarinet Concerto is my all time favourite classic. I play it on the piano and would love to hear it on the Stick.
Very pretty please:) so glad you enjoyed our Canon in D:)
I'm learning to play this on the piano. I've just played along with you. I still need lots of practice!

:)
Bravo! Bravo!!! Now I want to learn the Chapman stick. Don't know how to play anything nor how to read music but this makes me want to learn STAT.
We both don't know how to read music either. It wouldn't help much because there's nothing written for the Chapman Stick. We arrange everything by ear. Check out the learning options on stick.com
@@Cascademelodies Will do!! :)
