I like Kimes, but she has a surprisingly bad read on the situation. Maybe if in year 3 if the team is still mediocre, Harris might look at a change. But Quinn is certainly not on the not seat in year one, not with a rookie QB and most of the guys on this team from before Peters joined. BTW, before the hiring frenzy occurred for head coaches, Kimes did call Washington the best landing spot for a new head coach among all of the openings. So she is not ant-Commanders.

I think part of the issue is this; The Redskins/Football Team/Commanders record under Dan Snyder was 164-220-2 with winning only 2 of their 8 playoff games. Respect comes with having the streak the Chiefs are having now and the Pats 6 Super Bowls wins in 10 attempts during a 20 year period.

I can't take ppl like Mina Kimes seriously when they say stuff like this. Clearly she has no clue what she's talking about. Dan wasn't their first choice...according to who? One thing I've learned about this new regime is that they are thorough and patient. The success of this team will not be measured in one season. Everyone involved knows that this is a multi year project so to assume that Dan Quinn is on some kind of hot seat is crazy. The national talking heads have no clue and when they say things like this it's obvious
A head coach who has yet to coach a single game cannot possibly be on the hot seat. It's simply an asinine take. In fact, give me a list of new head coaches who were out after one season. Even excluding fact the entire ownership and management were replaced, it's a very short list. I'll wait.

Weren't the Commanders going to Detroit to basically hire Johnson and then Johnson opted out? I do disagree with the Quinn being the top choice thing, however, Kimes and Clark saying that Quinn will be fired after one season is insane. I don't think any normal operation works like that.

I like Kimes, but she has a surprisingly bad read on the situation. Maybe if in year 3 if the team is still mediocre, Harris might look at a change. But Quinn is certainly not on the not seat in year one, not with a rookie QB and most of the guys on this team from before Peters joined.
BTW, before the hiring frenzy occurred for head coaches, Kimes did call Washington the best landing spot for a new head coach among all of the openings. So she is not ant-Commanders.
It's way too early to say that. No games have been played. Is it possible, yes, however I think he'll be given a few years even if year one isn't a success.

I'm a Mina Kimes fan, but I think she couldn't be more wrong about this. This new ownership group is smart enough to know that they will not be able to attract top talent, be it coaching and/or players, if they start going through head coaches like rolls of toilet paper. This is a really bad take on her part.
I don’t really get too worked up about these things but that is one of the most ridiculous sports takes I’ve heard in a long time. One year for a coach to get everything together on a team in shambles with the highest turnover from front office to player roster.. who fixes all that in one year

I think part of the issue is this; The Redskins/Football Team/Commanders record under Dan Snyder was 164-220-2 with winning only 2 of their 8 playoff games. Respect comes with having the streak the Chiefs are having now and the Pats 6 Super Bowls wins in 10 attempts during a 20 year period.

I like Hoffman but this is a bad take. When you hire a retread as the last coach hired it does make it seem like he wasn’t the first option. Could have hired him earlier in process but we were waiting on Ben Johnson: Also we have an easier schedule so if we can’t perform with this it’s a big indictment on the coach
