For those hardcore Em fans, I wish he was happy as he was when he was with proof, I was a very few lucky men and women to catch them in concert I will. Tell my grandkids about this man and his story not that it needs telling... The man is a ledgend even if he hates his albums... I love them!
Damn I remember listening to this song when I was in high school, but I never dug deep into the song, finally did and man I didn't know they had problems amongst everyone themselves. It's good to know they made a song about it. As you grow older you start to realize the childishness within humanity, unfortunately you make mistakes, some realize and some don't. To bad Proof didn't get to still be here to still vibe with the crew!! Hope the rest of them still keep in touch.
I don't know why but when em said we are family made me kinda emotional.. I don't know but i am not used in those type of songs by D12... So i am taking it kinda serious.. I really miss proof...
When I was young I loved this song but I never really felt the impact of the lyrics but when I listen now reminds me of my bro cuz we don't talk no more it's mad how many songs you listen to when your young but when your older it's like your hearing upstanding for the first time CRAZY 💓💯🔥👍👊
Proof is the kind of friend who is so solid that you'll spend time trying to find another before you realize how lucky you are to have found one like that at all.
What makes this song great?? 1. We all miss this Em flow 2. The meaning of this lyrics is so deep 3. 1:07 Em's natural laugh is gold PD: An actual live performance between him and Mr. Porter would be great!!
"How come" is probably the most ambitious project by D12 considering the content. Yes, they did serius song like those for they fallen hommies, but that was more natural. This however is not that easy to conceive and execute. Good job!
On this day 20 years ago this song came out. D12 World dropped 20 years ago. This song is still great to me all these years later like it was the first time I heard and I still blast this song in my car while rapping to it. I have both D12's album along with all of Em's studio albums and compilation albums.
Every time I hear em can't help but think of proof legit such a great duo still got up in smokes tour on DVD and them two just killed it in every state
Proof is the realest person ever in hip hop, no hard feelings about anything, helping his people but not taking shit from anyone about a damn thing. The real reason behind Eminem's success imo
Believe it or not, this song started playing in my mind. I haven't heard it in YEARS! WITH Em's new CD out and thinking about the past, this touches me more- even now. Since the passing of Proof, you wondered if they would be able to digitalize unreleased vocals from him and allow the group to put out other projects...... I MISS D-12 TREMENDOUSLY!!!
this song is about the tensions brewing between the D12 members....mostly between Em and Proof....though in this song Kon Artist (im guessing) claims to hav known about Kim's affair and tried to tell Eminem about it

And I don't even feel the same love when we hug no more
And I heard it through the grape vine we even beefing now
After all the years we been down
Ain't no way no how, this bullshit can't be true
We family and ain't a damn thing changed, unless it's you
[Verse 1: Eminem]
So young, so full of life in vibrant side by side wherever you was ridin' I went
So close, almost on some Bonnie and Clyde shit
When Ronnie died you were right by my side with a shoulder to cry on
Tissue to wipe my eyes, and a bucket to catch every tear I cried inside it
You even had the same type of childhood I did
Sometimes I just want to know why is it that you surcame to yours
And mine I survived it, you ran the streets, I 9 to 5'd it
We grew up, grew apart, as time went by us, then I blew up
To both yours and mine surprises
Now I feel the vibe I just cant describe it
As much as your pride tries to hide it
Your cold, you touch its like ice
In your eyes is the look of resentment
I can sense it, and I don't like it
[Chorus]
[Verse 2: Kon Artis]
It was my dream at first to be on spitting a verse
On my own album with a deal but shit got worse
So I came out I would've killed a nigga first
Before I let him disrespect me and check me over some worst
Some bitch that I wasn't with I would hit her then quit
But you would pull a talk with her and tell her she was the shit
I told you don't get involved in it, you was smoking the chron with her
Coming out of the bar with her stumbling half drunk
Like you all was husband and wife or something
But me catching her fucking other niggers must've hurt you pride or something
'cause you won't fuck at the mouth with people like you wanted with me
When all I tried to do was show you that your bitch was shifty
And ever since the fans and all the shit that I produced
You're acting like I ain't your man and lying like she can't be loose
But I am really you friend, I'm just trying to tell you the truth
But don't hate the game or the player
'cause the one that is changing is you
[Chorus]
[Verse 3: Proof]
You're only at the top 'cause my homie had to stop
Now we acting like I gotta live only for the block
Homies in the hood only she be on the tube
Only gossip on the porch get to speaking on who
Fools I used to rap with all expect magic
Like my finger get to snapping and *poof* it just happen
But PROOF is just acting out the party was stoned

See the devil in you grin since the ghetto we been friends
Whenever real intelligence that's forever till the end
I be the hatred in your eyes and the Satan in your lives
And wasting my times with these snakes in disguise

And everytime I go to hear you and play you look away

For those hardcore Em fans, I wish he was happy as he was when he was with proof, I was a very few lucky men and women to catch them in concert I will. Tell my grandkids about this man and his story not that it needs telling... The man is a ledgend even if he hates his albums... I love them!
I saw them together too in The Melkweg Amsterdam I was like 13 / 14 or something
Same, i didnt really like the Song like 4 years ago. Now its fire
Looked for this song for ages! Finally found it
Proofs flow is smooth af
CRAZY SMOOTH! he was a fuckin rap god himself
Great use of assonance

Wtf happened to music
I don't know why but when em said we are family made me kinda emotional.. I don't know but i am not used in those type of songs by D12... So i am taking it kinda serious.. I really miss proof...
i love this band R.I.P Proof and R.i.P D12 ,pls come back again.
R.I.P Proof.....shady made it so your babies ain't staving at home.....

When I was young I loved this song but I never really felt the impact of the lyrics but when I listen now reminds me of my bro cuz we don't talk no more it's mad how many songs you listen to when your young but when your older it's like your hearing upstanding for the first time CRAZY 💓💯🔥👍👊
Stepping Stones... :( I remember listening to the Devil's Night CD on my discman while riding the city bus to high school when 9/11 happened
Proof is the kind of friend who is so solid that you'll spend time trying to find another before you realize how lucky you are to have found one like that at all.
These kids these days will never know what REAL RAP was
"It was my dream at first to off spitting a verse on my own album" that part still gives me chills.
Proof was a legend always gives me chills hearing his verse
rip proof
😖 I miss him to it to sad I had a homey who got killed I miss him as well so yea
When cloning is perfect we clone proof and pac and Nate dogg and the OG EMINEM LIKE SLIM SHADY 99
+. Shady i like eminem more than slim shady
ikr its so depressing
+Taste The Rainbow and the slim shady clone will eventually either die from overdose or live to go through rehab
D12 is hands down one of the best rap groups of all time and they only got 2 cds 😭😭😭
personally i feel like d12 world is the better album
@@LongLiveJoseph Both good albums, but I preferred Devil's Night, every single track on that album was great.
This song is great to rhyme on and reminds me of a lot of lost friends and people over the past 5 years.
Proof flow and word play was on another level 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Уже 10 лет этой песне, но я не перестаю восхищаться МАРШАЛЛОМ и группой D12!Очень талантливые ребята!Респект 100 раз. 😎👍👏
nice
+, жаль, что группа распалась
100 %
Этому треку намного больше
This Is 2000 2005
I still hear it until this day , and it still gives me goosebumps
What makes this song great??
1. We all miss this Em flow
2. The meaning of this lyrics is so deep
3. 1:07 Em's natural laugh is gold
PD: An actual live performance between him and Mr. Porter would be great!!
@ImInfinite MidWest stepping stones is how come part 2 sort of
d12 had some of the most hilarious and yet rawest songs ever wish they still were up specially loved Bizarre when he was with em

😍😍😍😍😍

"How come" is probably the most ambitious project by D12 considering the content. Yes, they did serius song like those for they fallen hommies, but that was more natural. This however is not that easy to conceive and execute. Good job!
D12 dropped 2 classic albums.
Proof was my favourite from D12, #R.I.P.Proof
I like swift
***** i guess, but i meant Proof was my favourite _apart_ from Eminem. I love Eminem!!! :D
Its been more than 15 years i have last heard off, man bought back my old memories. What a rap
D12 is WAY too underrated!!!
On this day 20 years ago this song came out. D12 World dropped 20 years ago. This song is still great to me all these years later like it was the first time I heard and I still blast this song in my car while rapping to it. I have both D12's album along with all of Em's studio albums and compilation albums.
Young people there is always something to learn from these bars!
Every time I hear em can't help but think of proof legit such a great duo still got up in smokes tour on DVD and them two just killed it in every state
Proof fucking killed it,rest in peace brother
"I forgot to make amends to all the friends I may have hurt..." man it really hits after all the years.
Always loved this particular track
Still loving this song, 2022 we hereeee💃🏿 Rest in peace PROOF
It's amazing how they made a song about Royce, and had the video look like they was speaking on internal struggles in the band.
I bet most people still dont have a clue about tht. Took me while too. All verses are 🔥🔥🔥
Just listening to the chorus sends a shiver down my spine
this song is about the tensions brewing between the D12 members....mostly between Em and Proof....though in this song Kon Artist (im guessing) claims to hav known about Kim's affair and tried to tell Eminem about it
Proof Was Just Incredible , Fact!
bring those good times back.
i used to train hard listening to this track.
Em always kills it.
2020
i wish D12 made another ablum rip proof
There isnt a d12 anymore sadly
i know man because proof died suck because he one of the be from Detroit
Armed and Dangerous they are getting re-united

www.openair-frauenfeld.ch/act/d12/
They are
they are still together on Shady XV they had a song without Eminem though it was called Bain I thinl
12 years after but you still remember each lyric. I miss these days.
April 2022! Who's here with me?
This classic D12 never gets old, it's still reminds me of me rapping it in high school days
I love how Em raps about this in Stepping stone goes more into these "claims" back in the day.Such good writing lyric genius.
I need 1 more D12 album man
Theres one in process...
***** really ???
I've heard that 1 since Em released 'Relapse'… That was '09. I think Bizarre said it simply wouldn't be the same making an album without Proof.
KING Karlemagne
Yeah, right, it wouldn't be. But I 've heard that they 're working on new album (Natural Born Killers, possibly renamed) and it 'll be out this year. Eminem will be at least in 3 songs, but I hope he 'll be in more.
They work at one
Bizzare joined again
ё ё ё Это шедевр!!! Спасибо за детство с такими треками!!!!!!!
THIS SONG IS SOOOOOOOOO UNDERATED
IT SHOULD BE NUMBER ONE ALL THE TIME ITS SO DAMN GOOD
