Honestly, If Melina showed up more instead of just for brief info dumping and leaving, I'd be more attached cause she's got a nice design. Meanwhile Ranni from start to finish was there for us and gave us the most Iconic weapon in souls history. But yeah oof to Meli needs all the love she can get.
Except Ranni's quest is easy to miss, unlike Melina's
@@namethis658well...easy to miss if you don't think about 1, 2, 3, 4 and even 5 seperate locations that are directly connected to her quest line. Including 3.5 optional bosses and 2 different NPC's in different places around the map. And I'm not even talking about anything to do with her Mom Rennalla or Raya lucaria.
Can it be missed? Yes. Are more people likely to miss all of that compared to the 10 out of a 1000 random graces that you HAVE to sit at before even getting the option to talk to Melina? Probably not.
@@kempolar9768 you literally talk to Melina on the 2nd grace you encounter near Storm Gate. It's like directly on the path in the 1st game area. Unless you specifically go running in some odd direction, I don't see how a new player that literally follows the grace can miss it...
As for Ranni, her quest requires backtracking, specific times, exploration of stuff that's optional, etc.which I'm sure most of the players won't do.
@namethis658 I think that the thing about talking to Melina at the grace was in reference to her quest line. Not the grace talk stuff that's basically required for the main storyline.
@@namethis658 Alternatively, if you discover enough graces, she will just appear at the next one. Doesn't even have to be the at Storm Gate.

I always liked Melina like she gives us a horse(big plus point) uses faith(a plus larger than the erd tree) and she’s adorable!
Also her dagger hits like a truck when you use the weapon art. On my 60 faith character it nearly one shots players. Like 1.8k damage.

On god, I wish she would appear every time you leveled up. You know what I had to do back in previous Soulsborne games? I had to go back to the starting area/hub area, talk to the cute nice lady, hold her hand, and then she lets me spend my souls to level up! In Elden Ring, you just go to any site of grace and press “level up”. The only time Melina is there to help you level is in rare instances she appears for the main questline beside the grace, which is like 4 times including when you first meet her.
