Mooring operation is always very tough and dangerous with lot of challenges for the safety of the crew and the ship. Stay safe and stay blessed. The draft of Bulky is 9.6 mtr.
Love the freedom the sea provides. Being stuck all day at a desk in IT, this seems like a great job. As a military vet though I've always wondered if they allow you to carry weapons on board to defend yourselves. It seems like these ships are large slow moving targets at sea and completely defenseless if pirates or criminals attacked you.
Great to see ur channel growing day by day and u creating quality content keep going.....years ago on ur 2nd or 3rd video i had commented that u will be one be one biggest TH-camrs in years to come waiting for that 1 million subscribers.
Your yt notification gave me another level of happiness I'm just studying and I got your yt notification i thought that my dream send me a notification ❤😊
Discovered your channel & content recently. As a fellow mariner, I'm genuinely and positively amazed at the intent and your time management. Kudos Karan... Best wishes for your well being and this channel.
You're on the Munkebo Maersk? You guys were just next to us in Algeciras, I believe. Currently the third mate on the Maersk Denver. Maybe I'll see you guys again out there! Nice videos man.
though i have nothing to do with sea or ships.. but i love.. nature... truly your videos are quite good and relaxing.. you really have amazing talent and good patience level.. wishing all the very best for all your aspirations and up-coming videos.
hello 2nd I watched your vlogs recently and I found it very informative especially for me as a seafarer also. Keep on making videos like this and inspire other seafarers out there. Also can I ask what kind of camera you used for vlogging?
Fantastic video. The draft on the bulk carrier is 9.6 metres. One question: The problem with the foreline is that basically a problem in the ports? And are the ports towards the Atlantic all so open? Always stay safe and take care of yourselves.🙏🚢⚓💖💙
It is always a pleasure to watch your videos ...but this time the ship is in an horrible condition, so much rust, it really looks f***ed up. Have a nice and safe travel. I am looking forward for the next video 😊
I remember about 8 yrs ago in contonnou port the surge was continuously parting the lines we had 3 4 lines parting we had to have bow and stern thrusters on standby for the whole port oprerations.
heyi dear,, great video once again !! also let me know , what are the Dual waters that is visible during departure from port @ 4:44 secs !! GOD BLESS U
Hey Karan just came by your channel and i love it. Brought back so many great memories. I didnt ship as an officer but that was going to be my end game. I was sidetracked by a tragedy close to home and had to stay. Because of covid i lost the rest of my family and have no ties here to stop me from doing what i love. I have just turned 50 years young and would love to go back to sea. Ive researched on the internet but received alot of different opinions on how to go about it. I completed a apprenticeship program 30 years ago and shipped in deck department for four years and am well traveled. I know all my certifications are now expired including lifeboat, cpr, first aid, and firefighting. If you could possibly stear me in the right direction on how i could get started on my adventure it would be so much appreciated you have no idea. Also do you think i would fair okay at age 50 starting again? Anyway keep the videos coming. Until i speak to you again, may the wind always be at your back my friend!
Hi Karan, Great video as always, one request I had as an outsider who knows nothing about ocean terminology - it'd be great if you could explain ocean jargon as and when it comes up. Like in this video you were talking about "swell".. and I didn't really understand what that meant, (had to google it), but it'd be really useful for ocean-noobs like me, if you could explain things like that it in short, when they come up. Thanks!
You certainly get to some beautiful places. And I love your little philosophical moments. Complete with sympathetic music. One big advantage of having some sort of spiritual belief is that it let's you wonder off in your mind. And appreciate the creation around you. Then you punctuate the video with little poignant phrases and sayings. Very effective editing. Even to someone like myself devoid of any belief in anything that doesn't appear in front of my nose. It makes you think about the things around you. And the interaction you have with them. And relate to how others see and cope with their environment. See one philosophical moment begets another.
Hi Karan, can you maby show how you do the communication during the mooring operation process? Nice video!! Always enjoying your videos. Have a safe voyage!
Hello Karan I regularly follow your page. I recently saw a video of containers in ship falling into sea. Can you take that topic in next video? Like why does it happen, what are next steps taken by officers in that situation, consequences, etc.
Love your content man! Keep up the awesome work! I'm curious how many people work on one ship at a given time? What are the positions and duties to keep the entire ship going?
Thanks I Learned a lot from your videos .One more thing basically a song suggestion 🙂 -( oceanside by Dennis Lloyd ) whenever you are free listen to this.
11:36 what is that square orange box that is attach with ship?
its a fender and its not attached to the ship,it's atttached to the jetty to provide support to the ship side its rubberised on the contact point.
@@shankyrocking92 what is jetty?
@@shankyrocking92 thanks
Mostly the draft lies between 9.4-9.6 meters
9.6

What you say about the ships being targets is correct. However, weapons/firearms cannot be carried onboard Merchant vessels.
You are right!
