Thi is Amazing! Thanks! One improvement: If you set a FLOOR node right before the Z input of the Set Position, you will not have any offset between the collumns. Because if you try to set the books far from eachother you wiill start to notice a big offset at the Z position.
Hey! I tried this but it isn't correct either. Cause we then need to tweak the value for horizontal spacing just so otherwise some meshes still overlap. I have tried multiple things but am still at loss to overcome this offset
@@abdullahshafqat772 well, I dont remember what I did anymore, but if want you can post a print of your Nodes at Unity forum and send me the link here, so I can try to help you
DO NOT LIGHT A LIBRARY WITH FLAMES ! Remember the library of Alexandria. Sorry, very good tutorial. Also the ambiance from the scene is great, nice one.
Thank you for this amazing tutorial : it is exactly what i was looking for ! I hope you'll continue to create tutorial like this (vfx graph and shadergraph)
hey, thanks alot for the visual effects graph introduction. Only getting started with vfx right now, so wish me luck :P Added Mona to my Steam wishlist. Looking forward to seeing more from you in the future!
Thanks for the tutorial, this will definitely come in handy. Learned a lot of new feature and possibilities. Honestly got a little lost once I saw inversions in there, will have to research. 😅
Hi! I love this, but for some reason I can't get the lerping rotation to work. For what i'm trying to do I want to have the objects rotate the whole time. Any idea how I can do this? I can't get any rotation at all for some reason :( - It is very easy in default unity particle system but have no idea how to do it w vfx graph. thanks!
hi, idk y mine doesnt work i fllwed the tutorial and my books move but when the player moves near the books, nothing happens. I increased the radius and added the binder script but it still doesn't work. IDK whats wrong
Your Tutorial is Fantastic But I Suggest you should add the Asset to Someone Access to Use. Or you can Make the Scene Accessible to Your Viewers to Practice. Just a Suggestion. Thanks Anyway for tutorial
Everything works perfect except the player isn't detected for some reason, the "Change Space" node has a note which states "The input space and target space are identical . this operator won't do anything"
Sorry if this has already been covered, but it would be awesome to see some material about the lighting, post-processing & fog as well. I am working on a game and think I have everything else down but the atmosphere still seems flat and dull.
Hey ! I'm pretty swamped right now between working on getting my game on steam and other works, so no progress on tutorials... However as soon as everything is ready, hopefully some time this month, I'll release a dev vlog about it and ask people what kind of tutorial would be helpful for them, so if that comes up from multiple people I'll make sure to write one :)
For some reason when my particles are in front of each other the areas that overlap flicked in and out a lot. Does any one know why or how to stop it? Also do you know of a way to either stop or controll how much each row is offset from each other? as it seems like each new row starts slightly further along then the last. I wanted to see if I could adopt this method but instead of books have it be bricks in a Wall but I can't find out how to spawn the meshes in the typical layout of a brick wall, having each row offset from the last
Hi. I am fairly new to unity. Which light setting did you use to make the light coming from the above with light centered only in the middle of the corridor? And also the dust in the air?
Hi ! I am not sure I completely understand your first question, but the top lights are simple spotlights, they mostly look nice thanks to the volumetric fog. The dust is just another VFX graph that spawns small particles in a radius around the camera :)
@@vincentaindiedev understood. Do you have any advice on where I could learn more about Volumetric Fog? Also there is no chance right to have a tutorial to show how to create the VFX graph for spawn the particles around the camera? Apologies but for beginners everything looks quite complicated xD

How did you figure this out? Did you follow some other tutorials? I mean it's just soooo hard to just create the logic for all this without some prior experience...
Hi ! This was not my first graph, and I had previously learned from different sources... That being said, it's really not that hard, it all comes down to breaking down your VFX in different parts. So for example here : 1) how to make a row of objects 2) how to make multiple rows 3) how to randomise the objects (color, size, etc) 4) how to animate their position Etc. After making a few graphs, it becomes pretty intuitive :)
Perfect pacing and scope for a tutorial in my opinion!
YO MAN! U are awesome! I would buy u a coffee, beer, house ! Just don't stop with that tutorials! Thank you very much! I learned so much from you
Haha I really appreciate it, cheers !
This game is an absolute beauty . Definitely looking forward to play it.
You can add space between books directly to the divide. That helps you to give exact value of padding at y axis as unity unit.

Are you official artist? It's so cool and amazing! Looking forward to your next work!
looks awesome! great tutorial!
this was amazing, unity does have some cool tools but people tend to not use the new stuff.

Nice work my friend! Keep it up. I'm not even a unity user. But I really enjoyed watching this. I'm going to try this in Cinema 4D.

How can I implement this in URP?

is not boring at all, very nice effect but too many nodes xD

Will this work in the built in render pipeline?
I wonder how get that asset?
Unrelated, but why does the viewport have no AA and only filters textures bi-linearly? Is that a Unity thing or a settings thing?
And how do you Optimize the scene? :oo
How did you do that fog? Is it VFX too?
Noob question probably: HDRP only or it works in URP too?
Edit: As I watch I hear that Lit mesh is hdrp only, but is that it?
As far as I know, this is the only limitation you'll face in URP with this setup... So if unlit mesh/quads are okay for you, it should work !
@@vincentaindiedev Awesome! There's other usecases I could think of something like this. Thank you!
