Aye clean fc you got there I've got a rotary swapped subaru forester I used the motor and trans from a 91 rx7 t2 but I just picked up a 1984 datsun pickup that's basically a hardbody and I'm already looking for a ls motor to put in it
@@theoegarage So are you saying you can't do a 4.8 and keep the default front grill and hood? Trying to find some options for not cutting up body panels.
Biggest challenge there would probably be ECU and wiring harness. We are heading into wiring the LS now and it should be really simple, and we were able it grab a stock GM truck ECU to piggyback everyone off of.
Solid info dude! Please keep posting this stuff! Not a ton of LS swap hardbody videos online so I am totally glued to this!
That’s awesome man keep posting love the info, looking into doing my ls swap soon on my 4x4 thanks for the info!

Pretty interesting swap with the forester, did you leave the rotary itself stock? And nice! Nothing more fun than a good power to weight ratio! 😉
Why did you guys go with the LQ4 6.0? Wouldn't one of the 4.8 variants have gone in the engine bay easier? Or am I thinking about that wrong?
All the 4.8, 5.3, 6.0 & 6.2 LS’s are the same outward size

What engine did you get looking to swap my hardbody but don’t know what exact kind of engine to look for
