@@garybankston9319 so which Star on the Rockets do the Nets want? I’ve seen 2 trade proposal by bleacher report on google and it involved the Nets wanting pick #1 (if the Rockets win the lottery), 2 unprotected future 1st round picks, Jalen Green, Cam Whitmore and Dillon Brooks (for salary cap match purposes) for Bridges. When the Rockets ended up with the 3rd pick I saw the exact same trade proposal from bleacher report except that the Nets would receive pick #3 instead of pick #1. I don’t want any part of destroying the rockets future for a chance to get knocked out in the play in tournament.
You don't know what you're talking about. If a trade went through, then it would be regaining control of nets draft, not 3 unprotected picks. Rockets got this year pick and 2026 pick. 2025 and 2027 are pick swaps.
Love Bridges but I say let these young guys cook. Some are extension eligible or are close to it and it’s important to see who’s really worth the financial investment long term.
Thank you, one thing that has been chaffing me from fellow Rockets fans is their tearing down Mikal Bridges like he's the worst player they've ever seen. He's a good player. The real problem has always been the market pricing that has been attached to him has been way too high and after seeing like 5 trade scenarios with absurd trades where Houston gets fleeced they started hating the player and not the sports writers or twitter heads who are suggesting the awful trades.
We dont need to lose no body. Keep everyone on dis squad. We gonna be stacked in 2 years with legit all nba players when this roster matures. Mitchell and Bridges is thinking too low.
Bridges a good 3rd option, he's not worth nowhere near what the rockets was trynna give them for him at the deadline or rumored, I'll give them brooks this years pick, and a 2026 maybe 2 2nds
Great vid man, I hope we get mikal he’s the type of upgrade we need to truly start competing. The young guys developing alongside him and Fred being vets would be great to watch, they’re both elite in their roles.
If Ime wants Bridges, that is good enough for me. Love the break down, Frank. The Nets could use a tough guy like Dillon on their team. They can't have all their picks back though. We have 2 players that show that they make bad decisions all the time and Dillon is one of them. We need to move one of those players. Something I worry about down the line is the Rockets seem to want Tari as a backup. I'm thinking this guy wants to be a starter somewhere. Don't want to lose Tari.
To me, the best case scenario in a Bridges trade is that we talk them into taking back Dillon Brooks in the deal so his salary is gone and Bridges replaces him in the starting lineup and is an upgrade. Obviously the Nets would get their pick back this year. Depending on how much they like having to take Dillon back in the trade would determine how many more draft picks we need to throw in. If they are excited about Dillon then maybe one more pick. If we basically have to force their hand by giving all their picks back to sweeten the deal I'm cool with that. It's the cleanest fit. If we just add Bridges without getting rid of one of our rotation guys we just have too many mouths to feed. And the only rotation guys I'd consider even trading are Jalen and Dillon. Love them both but if we can upgrade I would let them go.
Enjoy your stat breakdowns Frank, top shelf! But I do have a question...is Mikal a sniper from 2/3p? Like you have mentioned before we need shooting above all else. No hesitation shooting with consistency. Almost seems like we should develop our 3 and D wings and go get a sniper vs another 3DW or Big Man.
Me personally, I say keep the pick and draft that Sheppard guy, then trade Jock, Tate and Bullock with about 3 picks for Bridges . We are in the drivers seat
The way the nets FO has been acting I feel like they’re gonna want some type of young talent in return with picks, we do own their future so hopefully they cave in
The only reason I don't want to draft at #3 is the 10million dollar salary hit for that player. This new player would be making more than Alperen Sengun, and it's kind of unacceptable.
I would like Bane from Memphis, but I've always loved the way Bane plays. He would be almost impossible to extract from Memphis. Clarke though, yes please. I wouldn't even need Smart. The #3 and salary filler (Adams, Londale, Tate, etc) for #9 and Clarke would be good for me, maybe have them add a future 2nd as well. Also, to me, the only draft asset off the table is the 2025 First round swap. I would only include it in a deal for a big time star like Trae Young. The trade return on that pick has to match the expected value of the talents in the top 10 of next years draft, which is currently looking excellent. The 2025 Nets swap is the most valuable asset the Rockets possess.
I got say bro, I can’t agree with Bridges. He’s not a needle mover plus we have 3 or 4 guys with more potential then Bridges. He’s another Trevor Ariza which I feel Tari will fill that role better. We must be patient like OKC, with Wemby, Chet, and Lively we must draft the 7’3” kid if available. We must bring in some real length while we have this opportunity. You can’t find 7’3 guys as easily as 6’7 guy.
Mikal is a 3&D role player, so you don’t mortgage your future for those type of players. The most I’d do is Dillon/#3 or Dillon/2025 swap. I wouldn’t touch any of the core 6, or give up more than that. Those future draft picks are assets you’d need in the future to potentially land a real star…instead of a role player. Rockets are in the driver’s seat and would be just fine sticking and picking, then running it back honestly. So no real need to give up multiple assets for a potential 2 year rental.
The only way I would do the Beidges deal is I would definitely ask for at least some of the Suns picks to get some draft capital back. If they don’t want to do that I’m hanging up the phone immediately. We don’t have to do anything we aren’t desperate at all I get it Ime wants to win and get back to the playoffs. But we need to retain or get back some draft capital to keep our options open. Because we gave up a bunch of picks to the Thunder for the Westbrook trade.

That means Dillon is included in the trade. So Dillion, the 3rd pick, and maybe give back next year's swap is about all I would offer. Right now I expect the Rockets to at least make next season's play-in. 45-50 wins. Future Rockets if they do nothing to upgrade are Bigs - Sengun, Smith, and draftee. Wing - Green, Cam, and Eason. PG - Amen. The Rockets need to draft a point guard and another big. Or two point guards if Amen does not pan out and is primarily used as a wing. So over the next three drafts that should be their targets. This year's draft is full of bigs, so this should be the year to grab a third big. Trading back is fine. I would prefer Edey anyway over Clingan. Topic is going to be an amazing point guard. I like Carter too. Another option is to trade up with Atlanta. Draft Sarr who would be perfect to rotate with Smith and Sengun. Offer Atlanta the 3rd and one of the Nets first picks and one of their swaps. Then the Rockets only need a future PG. Easier to find than a big.
Rockets gonna trade down and pick a rim protecting big man or big forward that shoots. Gonna move Brooks, Landale and the 2025 Nets pick for Mikal at the deadline.
The only way I would trade for Bridges is if we shed some of this wing logjam. I would keep this 3rd pick and trade all the future Brooklyn swaps and picks back and give them dillon brooks and tate and worse case tari if forced. Then draft clingan. Good pod Frank. Yes i would trade for Bridges, but the core 6 is off limits in those talks. MAX I would give is Dillion and the #3 pick. I'm not willing to move more picks than that. the picks are more valuable than Bridges. the picks may help us land a bigger fish later, especially if Brooklyn continue to suck. Smart and #9 for the #3? I would do that deal. he is a veteran who can help us now and if Knecht is still on the board at 9 take him. aslo been reading some Portland and Chicago rumors about them being interested in #3. while I think the Chicago rumors are just talk, the Portland rumors might have legs. with us trading down to 7 and recieving players or other picks. overall there does seem to be a bit more interest in this #3 pick than I thought there would be when we landed it. Stone may be about to get lucky again and have something fall into his hands unexpected
I agree with all of those trade ideas. I’d take Thybulle/Timelord/#7 for Dillon/#3 from the Blazers as well. Those are 2 analytical defensive demons and The Rockets could still just take the best guard available at #7.
I can see Dillon/#3/ and possibly next year's swap back. Nothing more. Memphis trade would also work. Drop down and draft Edey. Personally, I think Edey will end up one of the top picks in the draft. Worse case, Rockets have their backup center for a while. Many top ten picks this year will be backups. Portland's #7 and #14 is a good trade for the #3 pick. Keep in mind that last year the Rockets drafted Amen at #4. The #7 and #14 picks were Coulibaly and Hawkins. I would not trade Amen for those two. So getting #3 is a good deal for the Blazers. Them the Rockets could draft a center and point guard to round out the team of the future.
After watching how the Celtics smolder a small kyrie and completely destroyed the the mavs, and you still think that the Rockets do not need Donovan clingan, then have a good night. Clingan is huge and would serve many purpose in playoff. I don’t know why the Rockets are trusting Steve Adam who is injury prone to contribute much next season. Look the man have lost athleticism if there was any, to jump, chase down and block shots, and to roll to the rim and dunk. There’s a reason the Memphis grizzlies allowed him go and now wanna replace him with Donovan clingan at all cost. For me the Rockets should draft Donovan clingan and explore the free agency for shooters.
I hope this Bridges talk dies down. Who would be sacrificed from a position/playing time position? Tari? Jabari? Whitmore? Amen? What was Bridges doing after year 2 of his career? (9 ppg and 4 rebounds). I can't understand hyping up Bridges and giving up #1 picks and give up developing Tari Eason. Way too early for this Bridges talk in my opinion.
The NBA needs to stop helping these big markets cheat. Houston has no business with a top 3 pick after where they fell in the standings. San Antonio 2 top 10 picks. This is getting ridiculous
No doubt the NBA directed Wemby to the Spurs. I knew that the moment the Pistons landed #5 and the Rockets #4 last year. But this year, the Rockets were due after falling in past drafts.
Adam is only going to be in rockets for one season in his contract left. This pick probably for the safe bet either grow in G league or having a rookie season like Amen and Cam this season

It is more likely that Jabari is a max player than Jalen. The way it’s going Jalen only shows for a month. Just saying it looks more like Jalen wot get the max or won’t deserve the max.
And Jabari wouldn’t go 1 on this draft I don’t think Cam would go 1 either. People like to say that but I would have them around 6-7 range on this draft.
@@zerolop6595 pre-draft Jabari would absolutely go first in this draft, what are you smoking? That size and shooting form and KD high-end comparisons. Just because he's underperformed the last 2 years doesn't change what his draft profile was. This also proves just how much of a gamble the draft is.
There is no world where Jabari is worth the max and Green isn't. Even when you account for the entire season Jalen has significantly more positive impact and .ost importantly is a self creator. You don't give non self creators max deals unless they are going to win dpoy or be on a first team all defense.
@@greglyon1402 you mean Paulo? All star Paulo Banchero? He has more rebounds? Wow congrats Jabari. All star season incoming! He stinks buddy quit kidding yourself
I'm cool trading #3 for bridges because he's a high quality role player with playoff experience and team Usa experience. The wolves traded for Gobert and Mavs for Kyrie to make the roster better. Celtics added Jrue and Porzingas. Make the trade happen improve the roster and figure the Financials later. Lock up sengun and jabari. Going into next year having bridges on the roster will take the Rockets to a new level. Possibly a better suns team than when they had booker n ayton.
Our problem ain't defense, instead, it's all about shooting, Ime can't escape from how to solve shooting woes in some nights, so i dunt think smart would be a smart choice for this team if we do wanna see some fundamental improvement next season esp when jG performance looks so inconsistent . As for bridget swap, i dunt see why Nets would trade him, a solid role player or a legitimate third shooting option in playoff caliber team, for some uncertain assets from this anemic class of draft (to add tari in the trade package won't look any better if yo standing in Nets shoe, Since he hasn't played solid minutes in past two seasons), imho, unless Nets changes their mind all in a sudden want all their FRPs back and push us parting way with Alpi, the odd of making a deal would be pretty slim.
Believe non of what you hear 👂🏾 and half of what you see. And yes I would trade for bridges he is everything we need right now to get into the playoffs maybe make some type of noise right 🤷🏾♂️
Trade ALP to the hawks straight up for the number 1 pick.. Draft Sarr at 1, draft shepherd at 3... Which lineup is more versatile??? Fred, green, Bridges, Bari, Sengun OR Fred, Geeen, Brooks/Tari, Bari, Sarr??? Ill go with the latter, we address both size and shooting, plus the defense would be next level, plus let Atlanta gamble on if Sengun is someone you can build around.. getting Sarr and having Bari can give IME the same look he had in Boston with Williams and Horford, two defensive bigs with Horford stretching the floor, using Williams as roamer... With Bari and Sarr it can be the same concept
I keep hearing core 6. I'm calling cap on this core 6 talk. Let's keep it a buck... Y'all talking about Jalen Green. He's the only one rockets considered trading. Y'all want him to be like Antman so bad..... but he's not. And the front office knows that. If we move him for a star like Mitchell it would be a good move. We're not going to contend in the West without a real star. We got a lot of nice pieces to put around him and move into contention. Nobody doing anything in the West without a star on the roster period.
Keep doing that Sir, to tell all the Houston rockets Social Media, that Jalen Green doesn't fit in Houston. But I would like to See Sengun as the Main Core Rockets, let's All See His Real Capabilities to Carry the rockets team in play offs next Season.. and I Wanna See Jalen to play for Lakers or Miami heat. Hope it will Happen Soon.
Man Mitchell not no real star , you not winning with him as your best player, he's always injured and no team wins rings with a small guard as their best player unless you are Steph or Isaiah Thomas, n he only have one year left on his contract he could leave after one year, that man has never made no playoffs run, I rather see what we can do with Green than him, a real star I would trade for a star but not him
Jalen was unstoppable for a month of the season. Literally the best player in the league for a month. If he can do that for 2 months of the year he’s an All-Star next year.
Stone must be the worst student from Daryl Morey School no matter he did try to learn something or not😅of course Daryl ain't perfect esp in terms of talent draft and development, but at least he tries all he could make adjustment for wins.

Good night
If Segun barely got the offense to go through him, how in the world are the rockets going to run the offense through Bridges?
We wouldn’t he would replace Dillon Brooks as an outlet for the primary action and be a secondary scoring option..
Holup luke kanard coming with a package is insanity 😂😂😂
💀 😂
Bridges for Dillon Brooks and the 25,26,27 Brooklyn draft rights. Houston is only out 1 draft pick.....Money equals out
so basically James Harden for Bridges
Not exactly. Yall got the 3rd overall pick already in the Harden deal.
I’d only give up brooks and 3rd pick maybe another pick for mikal
Is Houston really that desperate for Bridges? I'm a Nets fan and I know Bridges is good, but he's not THAT good.
The Rockets is in the tunnel too long, they just want to see some light.
Dillon n number 3 is enough for bridges
I would add future late first or 2nd round!
But this year, the Rockets were due after falling in past drafts.
lol why would we draft clingan we got adams
Adam is only going to be in rockets for one season in his contract left. This pick probably for the safe bet either grow in G league or having a rookie season like Amen and Cam this season
@@-Yu_Tsugami how you know
@@benzobran Bro read that Steven Adam contract on espn or other basketball related website. If rockets didn't trade this pick. then that's my prediction on how they going to treat the player they draft
@@-Yu_Tsugami man look ion gaf we need shooters in that second unit we can literally pick up a solid back up for cheap no need to draft him but i see your vision im ngl
Man this rockets team is so lucky our GM Sean Marks is so brain dead....
Jabari gotta show way more
@@zerolop6595 pre-draft Jabari would absolutely go first in this draft, what are you smoking? That size and shooting form and KD high-end comparisons. Just because he's underperformed the last 2 years doesn't change what his draft profile was. This also proves just how much of a gamble the draft is.
There is no world where Jabari is worth the max and Green isn't.
Even when you account for the entire season Jalen has significantly more positive impact and .ost importantly is a self creator. You don't give non self creators max deals unless they are going to win dpoy or be on a first team all defense.
The 3rd pick, their swap next year and Brooks. That's the deal. If it really got interesting, I'd maybe consider Cam. Maybe.
Great takes per usual.
wouldnt be whitmore
Trade DB and Jabricki smith jr and 3 overall
Smith is already a 14/8 player. That's more rebounds than Pablo. Better than Porter and Gordon in Denver.
I hope Bridges is just a misdirection to get Mitchell. He's better. If we make a trade shoot for a real star
And end up with the smallest backcourt in the league?
@@greglyon1402
We still have Cam and Amen. Probably won't have Fred too long.
You're funny bringing up Tari as if Rockets would even entertain giving him up for Mikal LOL
@@nocap6000 okay nice to got tons of fun.
so who should we give up for trade for bridget? Only those future FRPs?
Believe non of what you hear 👂🏾 and half of what you see. And yes I would trade for bridges he is everything we need right now to get into the playoffs maybe make some type of noise right 🤷🏾♂️
No the fuck he not
Pull SGA and picks for George trade eh?
I’m so tired of hearing about Bridges. The dude is above average. That’s all. Stay away from this guy.
@@Lezahfirewhat will lakers and Miami give us for Green 🤔
Man Mitchell not no real star , you not winning with him as your best player, he's always injured and no team wins rings with a small guard as their best player unless you are Steph or Isaiah Thomas, n he only have one year left on his contract he could leave after one year, that man has never made no playoffs run, I rather see what we can do with Green than him, a real star I would trade for a star but not him
@@deebrown9263 Lakers has a lot of good players, and Miami heat, Tyler is good or High Smith.
Jalen was unstoppable for a month of the season. Literally the best player in the league for a month. If he can do that for 2 months of the year he’s an All-Star next year.
This Bridges guy is so over-hyped. He is a balloon. Does not deserve the attention he gets.
I would give up Dillon and Landale. That's it!
Nick Claxton and bridges for green and our 3rd pick?
Say no on both ends , Brooklyn would want way more and I'd rather have green n bridges over bridges and Claxton
Keep 3rd pick BUT trade Brooks for Bridges along with 25,26 and 27 Nets picks.I believe Nets are desperate enough for their own picks to agree.
I'd trade this 3rd n keep 25
Stone must be the worst student from Daryl Morey School no matter he did try to learn something or not😅of course Daryl ain't perfect esp in terms of talent draft and development, but at least he tries all he could make adjustment for wins.
How so?
BRING TO ROCKETS BRIDGES END SMART
Only Jabari fanboys think Jabari would go #1 in this draft…with those busted handles.🤭 With that said…I hope the Rockets don’t give up the #3 pick for a secondary type player.
Brooks and Tari. Or Brooks, Tari and a second for Bridges?
Hell no! Two picks and Brooks at most. Unless they’re throwing in Cam Johnson.
No sir. Keep Tari.
@@CornellG I’m not sure if his value now. I know it was high at the deadline. I like Tari but if we have to I’d rather trade him than Whitmore. But yeah if we can pull off bridges and Cam Johnson that’s for sure a good trade!
You're better off not doing the trade than expecting The Nets to settle for this offer.
@@marlinesutherland5358 I’m fine not doing the trade. But if we can trade brooks and some picks for bridges I’ll do that in a heartbeat. Like I said, not sure of bridges value now, I know it was high at trade deadline
