Fun fact: in the actual book “journey to the west “ the scorpion demon didn’t wanted to be friend with Tripitaka… she wanted to have s3x with him but completely fails at her mission since Tripitaka is too innocent to do that and his protector monkey king hates sex jokes but not the normal ones… the sick ones

You know, that is still show dedicated to mostly kids, even when this is based on something like ,,journey to the west''. They can't just pull openly sex jokes in here.

I feel like they could have added more to her story rather than just end it in that single episode she's a pretty interesting character
maybe if we get lucky she'll come back (iI know that is a lot of not going to happen but I can hope and if not fanfiction).
They did add more to her character than the original story
She went from someone who was just horny for Xuanzang (The character Tang's based on, down to the fact he was kidnapped by her) to someone who was just really alone for too long and wanted a friend
She may appear in season 4. I do hope so, she adorkable!

after having read most of journey to the west, it’s… impressive that they managed to work this character into an episode considering it’s a kids show (she kidnapped and tried to seduce tripitaka, tang’s past incarnation, for half the night. then she got pissed and left him in the hallway when he resisted her. also gave wukong and pigsy a rly bad and painful scorpion sting. tripitaka cried a lot that chapter I think.)
She is so cute and well, just sad and lonely. Love how this show makes even the villains likeable.

Wow, they made one of the most dangerous Demonesses in all of JTTW a cute recluse. Aside from her illusion magic and superhuman abilities Her poison is strong enough to even harm Buddha and it even did a number on Monkey King and Zhu Bajie (ancestor of Pigsy)

Love how Tang sees through it IMMEDIATELY but stays anyway. Honestly this demon was never really that mean. I kinda feel bad for her.

Fun fact: In The Journey To The West (the book this show was based off of) when the scorpion demon kidnaps the monk, she tries to seduce him into doing… stuff with her. It’s very funny seeing how they incorporate this in the show.

I remember that when I watched the episode and first heard the Scorpion Demoness' voice I thought "wait... IS THAT MICHAELA DIETZ?!" I inmediately went to IMDB and found out that it really was her. We now have Amethyst's and Jasper's voice actors from Steven Universe, we just need Susan Egan to voice someone and we'll have all of the Quartz Soldiers.

I haven’t watched the show but Tang, Pigsy, and Sun Wukong should’ve just let the Scorpion Queen come along on their journey so she wouldn’t feel lonely or be stuck with an annoying person either. Besides, it doesn’t seem like she has a kingdom to take care of anyways.
Maybe it's becoues I've recently been watching a lot of video game bosses but this opponets that MK's team are facing really fill like a video game bosses
You’re not wrong; MK is based on Journey to the West, which has often been seen as a blueprint for fantasy structural narratives. It does a lot of things right so it only makes sense that it has things in common with other entertaining stories. A lot of things are based on journey to the west without always even knowing it.
Love how this series is giving me the same vibes I felt with Samurai Jack.
For some reason, the world and characters in these cartoons makes me think of video games.
Samurai Jack in specific made me imagine playing a PS1 game set in that world, specially in the episode where Jack fights the Guardian. _(the moments before when he is just exploring the island, the jungle, the mountains, the ruins... _*_urgh,_*_ I remember wanting to BE there!)_
