this is my favorite Amon Amarth song off any album. how could you got not get pumped just listening to this. Seriously just turn this song on after you wake up every morning and your ready to take on anything that come your way that day.
BTW crowd noise only gets heard on most live albums the way it does because the crowd is miked. Anything that gets onto a recording clearly has to have had a mic pointed at it.
Yep you are right. I got the country wrong. They aren't the heaviest out there, but they are still good. Looking forward to thier new album. They might be touring here in Australia next year at our summer metal festival Soundwave. Hope they do.
Yeah, I lived in Cannon Hill and it was pretty good. Really close to shops, restaurants, the train station and not far from the CBD (or West End or The Valley either, for concerts) for example. My fiancé is studying in Brissie (she's Australian) so she's still there. Hmm, listened to that track and yeah they sound the same, but some parts was a little bit different so it might be interresting to hear it all when it comes out.
I'm from Brissie. Great town. If the song that I heard...facebook teaser....is any indication, the formula hasn't changed. The song is called Deceiver of The Gods. Still sounds great though.
They are not the heaviest Sweedish band. They can't be......they are from Norway :-) They are a awesome live band. They really pump. This is what metal should sound like. I have seen them in a small venue twice and they were brilliant.
it's not possible to be the same at this kind of playing imagine headbang like shit maybe even being drunk i don't go there to hear it like the album but for the atmosphere and the pits and for them mostly \m/
it does matter, you can be a metal band and not be sloppy. I don't see where they are but if it sounds sloppy to him then that is something that he has a right to point out. don't judge him as a metalhead
Fredrik and Johan are the only ones who sound any good. You can tell there stuff is studio, and yet, I love them still and I cant wait to see them at Mayhem this year.
dude it doesnt matter if its sloppy or not! its fucking metal..its what sets us apart from the other shitty genres that uses fucking pc's when they do live performances...a metalhead would never say its sloppy and just enjoy the live music.
The Summer Breeze DVD that came with the TotTG album is much better. Sword fighting, longboat stage props, flawless playing and energetic headbanging the whole time.
I've seen many live bands I myself had played live I have also recorded in a studio. It wasn't the tone or anything sound quality wise it was their fingers on the fretboard not being as accurate. I'm not saying he isn't good. he is better than me at guitar and I think amon amarth is a great band. I just think the playing could have been cleaner.
yea its good, I just hear a few little squeaks and mess ups hear and there. I just think they can do a whole lot better. I still can wait to see them june 30th on mayhem! they are still my favorite band there!!!
Well... I find it hard to fault playing that part poorly, because I'm still not able to play it half as cleanly on the album. Same thing with some of the parts on Arson. They're just insanely tricky for some reason...
i agree, amon amarth is an awesome band, and you must admit the guitarists are no amazing live performers, lets be honest, any touring musician would say its all about the live performance, so what you can shred after 5000 takes on a record, the real tallent is on stage, but on a postevive note, metal is fucking rad, and amon amarth rules !
Yeah, every video from this concert that Amon Amarth has shown or posted on Facebook had been kinda lame. Not like their old videos. THOSE were energetic.
That's alright, shit happens. And yeah, they're a good band and I'm a bit curious if they will change anything in their formula for the upcoming album or it will be the same as usual. Even if they won't I'm sure it's not gonna be bad, but it can get a bit stagnant. I just recently moved back from living in Aus (Brissie) for about a year and I've heard of Soundwave but that it's mostly shit. XD
I've seen plenty of live bands and I am aware it will not sound like the recording I feel that the playing is a little sloppy at some points in the song not the sound quality
Hahaha, what? They're from Stockholm, Sweden. But yeah, they're a great live band and I've seen theme live here in Sweden a few times. But still, they're not that heavy.
"Have no fear of death when it's your time
Oden will bring us home when we die"
My favourite line ❤🤘🏼
@Solaris Star Over the field an eerie sound as we hear the raven's cry!
I will see you in Valhǫll, brother! ATTACK!!! +1 Like
that double kick is orgasmic
There are people saying this is the worst song on the album... Well I guess you just sold me the album >:)
Oh please, this song MADE the album
its one of my fav. song of this album
Same here man
this is my favorite Amon Amarth song off any album. how could you got not get pumped just listening to this. Seriously just turn this song on after you wake up every morning and your ready to take on anything that come your way that day.
Who the FUCK would think that??!?!?!?!
Charge your horses across the field. Together we ride, into destiny!
The first time I heard his music, my ears filled rejoiced. Musical passion at first sight.
Audio is so sick omg especially drums
BTW crowd noise only gets heard on most live albums the way it does because the crowd is miked. Anything that gets onto a recording clearly has to have had a mic pointed at it.
I saw them in Montevideo on 2012...
I still waiting for their return...
My favorite band of deth melódic.
When I saw them live they were insane.
Dying to see Amon Amarth in Concert!!!! Have Deceiver of the Gods, and I love it. They are One of my favorite bands!!! \m/

Love this song! Real metal gods all the way. How come not listen without Cry Black Bird!
very solid live
Yep you are right. I got the country wrong.
They aren't the heaviest out there, but they are still good. Looking forward to thier new album. They might be touring here in Australia next year at our summer metal festival Soundwave. Hope they do.

Awesome!
I'm from Brissie. Great town.

Still here!
I can't wait to hear their new album in June-2013 "Deceiver of the Gods"!
They are not the heaviest Sweedish band. They can't be......they are from Norway :-)
They are a awesome live band. They really pump. This is what metal should sound like. I have seen them in a small venue twice and they were brilliant.
Wonderful!
same here!
the one and only Amon Amarth-Song I like and it's fucking great
Fav song right here...
No hate on these guys, you'd have to dam near be a virtuoso to play these songs live while windmilling....
Awesome
I'll be there too!
This band, along with Slayer, got me into metal.
Fredrik Andersson drums with thors hammers
Guys, I am coming to see you 8November in Tilburg.
Its just an hour away for me!
Wow really man.. I've been a AA fan for years and seen them 3 times.... Asator and God of War are legendary tracks
This is what badass looks like
Anybody else notice this song's main riff resembles that of Iron Maiden's "Prowler?"
Ozzman Osgood Never thought of it, but it indeed does. I don't think it's intentionally done that way, but who knows. Regardless, it sounds fantastic.
They have said in interviews instead of doing covers they write songs in the style of their influences
Listen to mercyful fate - witches dance intro.....
That's exactly what I've thought! Everyone says I'm snapped but it actually is very similar
are they gonna upload every single song of this show?
well, I wouldn't mind, it was simply awesome :D
HAIL AMON AMARTH !

Just a normal Explorer
Steve Salomon Jaramillo Villamizar best part, the drummer is coolness
Metal ain't about being perfect
Cannot wait to see them live at Mayhem fest.
For anyone who has seen Dillinger Escape Plan, the "energetic" bar is set really high. Also unfortunately there's a wrong note at 2:53 :(
it's not possible to be the same at this kind of playing imagine headbang like shit maybe even being drunk i don't go there to hear it like the album but for the atmosphere and the pits and for them mostly \m/
Must learn this riffs now
AMON AMARTH.
check out dillenger escape plan live. THATS energetic, this is still kick ass though.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LET THIS HAPPEN!!!! TWILIGHT OF THE THUNDER GOD SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE THEME!!!!
Isn't this, like, the 30th official live video of this song?
the crowd is not dead, crowd's sounds is only cut off
I'd like to hear Asator worked into an action scene where the Thunderer is pummeling some trolls/baddies.
I don't always tune to B baritone, but when I do, I make damn sure I have a beard.
Amon Amarth should make a cameo appreince in Thor 2. Or have the big action scene have Amon Amarth's music play.
after playing this in my car, it became a vessel!
AMON AMARTH fucking rules ...
no their best song...
why no HD?
Iron Maiden live in Rio. Watch it
This is pure 100% energy
it does matter, you can be a metal band and not be sloppy. I don't see where they are but if it sounds sloppy to him then that is something that he has a right to point out. don't judge him as a metalhead
º_º NO WORDS º_º
Already know the riffs. ;D
Fredrik and Johan are the only ones who sound any good. You can tell there stuff is studio, and yet, I love them still and I cant wait to see them at Mayhem this year.

This song is so heavy I couldn't pick up my laptop to plug in to my stereo.
long live king hegg.
I got arrested for fighting at this concert lol
Really?
stupid af
this is an actual constructive response! yes I agree with that it is a lot harder to play with that amount of energy. I didn't think of that
It's not dropped. It's in B Standard or Baritone tuning if on a 6 string. B-E-A-D-F♯-B :)
The Summer Breeze DVD that came with the TotTG album is much better. Sword fighting, longboat stage props, flawless playing and energetic headbanging the whole time.
;) stay metal my friend \m/
fucking epic....
If you Metalheads jam Amon check out my band "Inculta" song "abandon"
I've seen many live bands I myself had played live I have also recorded in a studio. It wasn't the tone or anything sound quality wise it was their fingers on the fretboard not being as accurate. If you think that, try twilight of the thunder god or asator
his guitars is nots ins tunes
Metalheads, if you have android device , check out the app MusicTimeOff in google play , which stops the music will you sleep
i agree, amon amarth is an awesome band, and you must admit the guitarists are no amazing live performers, lets be honest, any touring musician would say its all about the live performance, so what you can shred after 5000 takes on a record, the real tallent is on stage, but on a postevive note, metal is fucking rad, and amon amarth rules !
you don't need to be a fucking athlete like Bruce Dickinson to have an energetic performance. These guys know that.
Fucking amazing *-* next War of the Gods please :D
Yeah, every video from this concert that Amon Amarth has shown or posted on Facebook had been kinda lame. Not like their old videos. THOSE were energetic.

I only Amon amarth , motionless in white , born of osiris , & children of bodem everyone else I don't really know much about
Mayhem is in big d on my birthday!!!
But still, they're not that heavy.

no, you're nick is TheJepazo...
metalhead or not, i want quality. whats the problem, good sir?
Avenged Seven Fold kick their asses.....
Just Kidding, Heaviest swedish band!
its a good performance, but i agree they need some more energy live...
btw fedt navn :)
I thought it was the worst song off the album... I guess it's digestible. Personally, Asator and Gods of War Arise are my favorite.
There appears to be no moshing - this is metal, not an opera! -_-
Olavi and Johan Söderberg need to clean up their playing a little bit. Great on the recordings but its ehhhh live
now they improved a lot.
for instance, this was a better night /watch?v=kOipAZ82nYE
