Sarah, Ellevill Jordan is cross --> cross --> horizontal over both legs. This is rebozo --> horizontal under second leg --> cross. This combination of passes (also in Wendy's DH and Christina's Ruckless) is my FAVORITE for bigger babies / toddlers.
Ok. I'm totally trying this tomorrow. Just this morning i was thinking i needed to hunt down judy's SSC carry! But now I'm trying to figure out how it is different from ellevill's Jordan? Because ellevill Jordan's is two cross passes with a torso pass? Yeah? I think I'll love this so much more then. Rebozo passes
Love this carry! When I did my vid I couldn't decide if this was a GBC variation or not, so I just called it my SSC-like carry. I love that it transfers the weight to my hips like a SSC and it's super with my heavy 3 year old=) Great vid, Faith.
Judy, I had no idea you posted this a few months ago! I guess great minds think alike! I commented on my FB post to give you credit for coming up with it first, and link to your video :)
BabywearingFaith Thanks, Faith =) This carry is really similar to a ruck with waistbelt and chestbelt. I haven't decided if the end result feels different or not.
denim mei tai To me it feels different for a couple reasons. One, it sits lower which is more comfy for me with a bigger baby. Two, the combination of passes feel like they create more of a hammock for him to sit in, rather than the bunched passes of a ruck pinning his knees to my sides. Lastly, I like that with this carry I can tuck his head into one of the passes when he falls asleep :)
BabywearingFaith I mistyped. I meant to say reinforced ruck, so then you wouldn't have the bunched pass issue. I think I tend to wear rucks lower than most people, so I hadn't noticed that as a difference. But yes, I can see how being able to tuck a sleeping head in would be good. The Little Boss isn't really much of a wrappee, bucks and kicks too much, so I haven't had to do that. I'll play around with the two again, though, to see how they differ.

With our snow day today, we are trying this around nap time! I love a multi pass back carry!
Thanks for sharing! Totally our new favorite!

He was asleep in less than 5 minutes! This carry makes its way to the top of the carry list, right after the classic double hammock.

Hi, thanks for the video. I'm wondering what size wrap you're using?
Size 5. I could definitely do it with a 4, but I'm petite.
